My god, I've been watching you a while and I'm from the UK and never realised Shogun Assassin was an amalgamation of the first two Lone Wolf films. I bought the criterion set ages ago cause I found it cheap on a sale but never got round to starting it or really looking into it.

That's really awesome! Your origin story reminds me a lot of me when I was little looking for kaiju films. I mean I had the internet but when I was 6 and 7 coming across certain films was really difficult. I remember the old classic media titles are what got me into the kaiju films and at the time besides maybe one other company in the US they were it lol.
