Hi I own one film camera its the mighty Nikon F3 I purchased it at my local dealer it was his grandfathers I was so lucky to buy it. Because his granddad at the time F3 came out on the market he bought two better be sure but realized this camera dont really brake 😂😂😂 So I bought his second one for 300 bucks with 50 mm lens. And with 2 years of warranty it has a total count of film used of 3 rolls. He even sent into a checkup at Nikon, He saidt it has to get some oil and cleaned the mirror. And ready to go. I did buy two other lens for it. a 24 mm F/2.8 AI and the 50 mm F/1.8 pancake close focus. I am very very happy to own this camera.

That pancake 50mm f1.8 is a nice lens and the F3 is very sturdy, for sure.

@@theoldcameraguy Hi yes also I choose the Nikon instead leica or other a medium format camera. Is because price and convenience ratio as I call it. Well A Nikon is hmm post full frame 1.5 times bigger than a normal 35 mm camera where lets say leica you need to use a 35 mm lens and its on a leica then a 50 mm. So bigger format but a smaller than medium format or cheaper also to develop or buy. More shots and cheaper more compact. Doesn’t mean its perfect for everyone. But for me its a bullseye.

Hello from Calgary, Canada! I've been visiting the local Thrift Stores for maybe 20 years now and I have a decent camera collection thanks to them. I generally visit 3 or so per day (I don't go out every day anymore) and I have to say that they generally have better selection here, compared to the cameras you found... however, there are lots of resellers now, so things have changed (too much competition nowadays). Last camera I found was a pristine Zenit 12 XP for Cad $25. (maybe a tiny bit expensive, but it was in excellent condition) Great video though and I think it's time for me to go treasure hunting!
