I think my least fav part of descript is the studio sound at 100% cause it makes me sound like i have a lisp sometimes lol. I really love it for quick text based edits and their stock photos but I still find myself using FCPX to do custom titles and stuff. I also recently made a music video (not for biz but for fun...an AI song about my dog who is deathly scared of stairs LOL) and noticed it has a MUCH harder time matching captions for music and it was REALLY hard to get the captions to match the words so I gave up. I LOVE descript overrall but there are def issues still. OMG LAST BUT NOT LEAST - IT WONT WORK WITH MY GOPRO AS A WEBCAM!! so frustrating. Can you use a DSLR with it and have it work? Because i would love to record direct into descript rather than have to take out the memory card and then transfer. OK done rambling :)

Ahh I totally get your frustration! I was feeling that way too with Studio Sound but I think it's gotten better! Re: titles. I think I'm going to use Canva for that, then export as an Mp4 and bring it in. I did it the other day and thankfully it was quick and easy! Okay the music video sounds amazing!! Yes - the audio often goes out of sync. If that happens, right click on the clip in timeline view > click detach audio > then you can double click on the file and sync up the audio with your video. I hope they fix this soon though. Re: the GoPro. darn!! I've been able to connect my Logitech 4k brio webcam easily. And then with the DSLR, I have a piece of tech that connects it to my computer, so yes, I'm filming straight into Descript. I hate the unnecessary step of the memory card/transfer so I get you!!

Hello Louise, Thank you for this video. When I give a class with Zoom, the recording is so bad quality. Do you think I can use Descript at the same time for a better recording ? Or do you have other option for this specific recording.

Hmm I SO feel you on this. The recording quality through Zoom is never as good as I'd like. First, make sure your settings are all turned on for HD and video quality optimization. If that still doesn't work, I'd use something like Streamyard instead (the webinar option): kzbin.info/www/bejne/nH7XmZSjfNFkjZIsi=HeKyu24h8yqq73S0 Hope that helps!

So first you have to find a song you can use on KZbin. I use Epidemic Sound! louisehenry.com/epidemicsound (affiliate link). Then after that you simply download the file and drag it on top of your video in Descript! 🎵

How do you create and add the intro sticker from scratch please?

So that I created in Canva first. Then I exported it as a PNG with a transparent background. Then all I did was drag it on top of my video in Descript 😊 (do that part in your timeline view at the bottom of your screen)
