The chunks of fat covered meat in the freezer looked like something he may have shoplifted and put in there last winter. I didn't notice any hair, or appendages to indicate animals. You would have been able to see a rib cage at least. So, yeah...I'm thinking just a few chuck roasts probably. If you are planning to go back in the area, take a long a old tattered wig...toss that in the freezer for the next guy. 🙂

​There would have been at least one piece of cat for somewhere in the footage coming out there was no strand of any type of animal for whatsoever. It's really creepy. I know a ton of hunters as well as pet owners, and there's usually at least some type of cat or dog hair at least one piece somewhere on there furniture or clothing, especially if you're a homeless and you're cutting this stuff up yourself. And why would he put it in those weird bags? It needs to be investigated by authorities!!! Scary. Maybe he knows the formula. It's a native plant and grows by water. I need the formula lol, skeeters get nasty where I live. Can't sit out in the back garden for 1 minute.

I think that's a box of commercial frozen meat that was tossed into an old freezer and left. Prob. frozen hams sold or given to the homeless. Cats don't have that much to them, and rotten cats would be showing a lot of bone.

This is what I was thinking too. That looks kind of like chunks of meat from a shop since they're all so round and uniform. I used to work at a butcher and folks would sometimes come dig the meat that passed it expiry date out of the dumpsters.

I was just so relieved that it wasn’t “human” parts. When you go around a place like this and smell death it doesn’t take long for your mind to think the worst. I’m going back and check to see if I can meet the man and help him out with some non perishable foods and a propane cook top.

@@DanBellFilmIt rotten stuff in turned off freezer is the absolute WORST smell period! I'm a taxidermist and a customer who does some on the side had me flesh and salt some hides for her due to her bad carpal tunnel issues. She brings them by and OMG the stink. She has a freezer that had other things in it and got turned off a week or something, but she turned it back on and didn't clean it much, and put these hides in it in bags. It absorbed the stink. I had to get the incense out. Thankfully it was not like skunk. The odor dissipated off the salted hides. Skunk is like a stupid comment esp by a celebrity or politician on the internet, that gets shared. The only other time I needed incense was when young possums died in the very tight crawlspace under my "clean" workshop. I assume possums, there seems to be a momma possum around year to year that finds a way in.

I think it's likely what someone said about food bank meat of some kind going bad, and the cop's familiarity with this man suggests to me that he may have been arrested for something. The cops might drive by and keep an eye on his location, because he probably is a good guy who got caught up in drugs or something. This camp is actually really well put together and I can't imagine the owner would let that meat go bad in there like that intentionally and not do anything about it. The bones etc. ARE probably from game, he does have a deer pelt, but I have a feeling this cop just likes to pull people's leg with the eating cats bit. He might even say so as a method of local rumor deterrent so people dont go and mess with him. I know a lot of homeless encampments in my area that have good relationships with the police. A lot of them are mentally ill, so I think some cops just try to make sure they are safe
