I worked in New Cumberland (Holiday Inn) approximately 16 miles from Carlisle. Every year we would be booked at full capacity for the Car Show. From the looks of these motels, I can see why we got a ton of business.

I grew up in Philly and I’ve been to AC many times. Everything shown here just looks like normal nothingness to me. Hearing the reactions reminds me of why I moved far away. It’s like when you live knee deep in the shit you don’t realize there are places not like that. I go back to visit family but besides that the place has nothing for me or anyone else actually. Holy shit! Thats not far from where i live. Those skin shops are some extra nasty establishments. To speak on the hotels... you need to understand these small and kinda creey lookin places to stay are just very 'dated' and were originally built to the purpose of providing lodging to folks whom were help to some of the local farms, stranded motorists, or perhaps men in the area to conduct business.

This was great. Reminds me of the many adult "bookstores" with peepshows and some had arcades, in Charlotte NC back in the early to mid-eighties. Most with glory holes as well. Some more upscale than others, like Cinema Blue, which actually had a great pinball arcade in back. At least this one had some cool Fellini-esque lights and atmosphere compared to most. Great seedy nostalgia!
