Saquon hitting himself to make sure he doesn't suddenly wake up in Met Life with Danny Dimes standing over him is the only explanation for hitting himself in the head i will accept ever.

It took me awhile to figure out siriani. He takes the faults of the players. If someone does something dumb he says its his fault. That's why the players and coaches love him. He takes the blame and the media leaves most of them alone. (Except for jalen).
@tysonmaddox1090Күн бұрын
He has helped build a culture that the dudes in the building love. He is not the best Xs and Os guy but he took himself out of that equation to focus on the culture and that takes a lot of maturity on his part

Yes, I've said that before, he'll never put anyone under the bus, and he'll take the heat for them.

Agreed. My eyebrow raised early in the season when Nick took the blame for Vangio by saying he made the play call. He's doing an excellent job keeping the media focused almost solely on him and around minor nitpicks.

I'm not saying Sirianni is a hall of fame coach by any means, but I'm surprised how many members of the media are nonplussed by his style of coaching, while simultaneously praising and getting behind Dan Campbell at the Lions. They're both loud, emotional culture guys who soak up media attention, set the mood in the room and keep the whole team cohesive. It's just that DC is a huge badass physical guy who cries manly tears, while Nick is a much less outwardly lovable character. But I don't think that difference actually limits his ability to do his part within the Eagles. Just so long as he gets set up with solid coordinators and assistants (as in 2022 and this year) and doesn't try and get over his skis with Xs and Os.

I really appreciate your comments on Sirianni. I’m a not so young lifelong Eagles fan and I literally had the conversation this afternoon about Nick and can’t get my arms around the lack of love and respect for him. Forget 2022. In 2023 he had the whole damn thing crap out under him and it took how long to fix the problem?? And you can say it’s on Saquon but the head coach fixed both sides of the ball in less than a season. And by the way a major shout out to Jeffery Lurie for having both the vision and patience to let all the talented people he has hired do their jobs. I’ve been saying for close to 5 years that if Washington ever lucked out and Dan Snyder was only a bad memory that this team would be one to reckon with. Hate to say that about John Mara but I’m happy to say it about Jerry Jones. Also it appears pretty obvious that Hurts got more than a little dinged by the concussion and it’s not vintage Jalen we’re seeing. Still he executed some hellacious audibles on Sunday didn’t he? Not bad for a 26 year old in his 4th full year. Also a guy who gets no respect 😂

I'm so tired of the Jalen hate. Chris simms hated on him forever and he tried to say that all the Eagles fans were saying that Jalen was the best qb in the league and he was just trying to say he wasnt when no Eagles fans were saying that, we were just saying he was "one of the best" during their super bowl year. Also that year he proved he cud be really productive in the right system. I mean against he Rams he was 15-20 and the wr dropped passes that wud have given him similar pass yards to Mahomes or Josh Allen this weekend. I do think Jalen needs a better OC and Jalen does need to improve some things in the passing game but he is one of the second tier qbs in the league behind the top 5 qbs in the first tier. The way I have always looked at it is that if Jalen was in KOC, Andy Reid, McVay, Steichen again, Ben Johnson's offense he prolly wud have amazing stats
@DankBirdGang52Күн бұрын
Jalen had 70 yards rushing. You ever notice how they mention rushing yards for Lamar, but they get ignored for Jalen?
@markcerniglia668813 сағат бұрын
All the teams advancing to the championship games had zero turnovers. Jalen has been playing smarter and safer. He was fumbling when getting hit from behind so he takes the sack instead of forcing a bad play. Yes, his reads and timing seem off. Yes he needs to find those quick outs. But protecting the ball has been crucial to their success.
@ryanstadanlick168414 сағат бұрын
To say Jalen is not a reason for the success in the run game is flat out silly. How’d the Birds run the ball with Tanner and Kenny in the game? Jalen’s ability to keep the ball and run is a huge part of their success.

Or why Barkley was 24/65 when you take out the two big runs. First game he averaged nearly 5 a carry,irrc, excluding the two monsters. In the second one: 2.7/carry excluding the two house calls. You absolutely can't allow those plays & win in the playoffs, but can you win if you're only getting them, not the 5-10 yarders all day ? I notice a similar pattern to his production in the two WASH games; much more consistently productive in the first than the second, although the totals were both high. Concern ?

@@Dogasaurusbut you can’t take away those two home runs so there’s that
@Dogasaurus11 сағат бұрын
@@christianburk7309 Well, you can talk smack or try to figure out if/why there's something to the pattern between the two second games in terms of run efficiency. WASH's LBs are far superior to LAR's. As run defenders, anyway. I mean Wagner vs Speights or Rozeboom, for ffs. All the DET fans are crying about the gameplan their OC used, but I think throwing OVER those LBs has to be done to create those creases/cracks for Saquon. Can Hurts or Pickett do that ?
@Dogasaurus8 сағат бұрын
@@christianburk7309 Btw, O-line Comm; merely highlighting a smack talk reply to a serious question relevant to the topic and the next game is a bad look if you want viewers/comments from anyone other than the two teams under discussion. Smack talk is fun, but answer the question, please.
