I would not call it DYSFUNCTION. Dysfunction is the jags with baalke or bears under flus. The eagles clearly cared the most about the end results, just had a couple internal spats along the way like any good group of coworkers will have. Media needs to have a reevaluation of what dysfunction is. Because the eagles were a VERY functional team all season long.

Belichick had a down year at offensive tackle. It was the year he drafted Nate Solder, who just wasn't up to the starting job requirements. So BB just ran tackle-eligible, blocked with 6 men. Had tremendous run threats, and ran the whole offense with 6 offensive linemen. Reid's not wired that way. He's wired to try to make up for the offensive line with misdirection and quick passes. He's always counting on mismatches somewhere in the depth chart, and just picking on them all day long. TE on a LB. WR on a LB. WR/TE on the weak DB. It seemed like KC had no answers on offense. I thought they would have some. They didn't. Kelce seemed pretty out of sorts. It seemed like he mailed it in. Philly just didn't present any favorable mismatches to Reid's offense. But the mismatches in the trenches all favored the Philly defense, beyond a doubt. I think KC's D would've held their own with some points at their backs and some time of possession helping them out from the offensive side. They got nothin'.

Chiefs had the luckiest season ever and didn't even deserve to be there, let alone win. Mahomes hasn't been good for 2 seasons. The chiefs won't even make the playoffs next year.

Half time show wasn't great. Only knew a couple songs. Performance wasn't the worst but at best a 5 of 10 overall. I've seen worse and I've seen tons better.

The Eagles’ D was unparalleled all season. The offense was a close-up magic trick. Didn’t matter if you watched the tape on our offense. You couldn’t stop it, because even if you managed to take away the ground game, Jalen is a more than competent passer with the ability to scramble. Barkley made it possible to win enough games to get that first round bye. He was instrumental in getting the Eagles into the Super Bowl. But the real trick was that your defensive schemes need to take out at least two of the biggest weapons, say Barkley and AJ or DeVonta, or Barkley and Goedert, and make sure that the weapon you don’t scheme for already plays into the strengths of your defense. And that approach leaves a few players on an island for a majority of the game, and then it only takes one or two mistakes, and you’re seventeen points down by halftime.

First off big grats to the Eagles they whooped KC. But to say people were placing KC in a place they maybe shouldn't have been is ridiculous. They are the only team to make it to that 3rd straight Superbowl after winning back to back. On top of the consecutive AFC championship game appearances. The closest a team in the Superbowl era comes to being that consistently elite are those early 90s Bills teams, but obviously they lost 4 straight SBs so it puts quite a damper on it. Can't predict the future but MaHomes has 10 years to catch Brady and he's far outperformed him during his 20s. He had a bad game, it happens to the best of them. Brady lost a couple SB and his teams had a long SB drought but he played a long time and had a lot of success very late. Things are looking good for Mahomes though, he didn't rely on Kelce as much this year and got it done with a janked up WR room. He'll be fine. Andy Reid's specialty has always been making it work with no good WRs.
