This movie reel shows scenes from the city of Holbæk following the liberation of Denmark in 1945. According to the National Museum of Denmark, this film - among other things - shows resistance fighters, street scenes, the arrival of English troops and an allied air show at Kastrup Lufthavn on the 1st of July.
This film is a part of the archive of The National Museum of Denmark, in which the recordings are titled “Film: Privatoptagelser fra befrielsesdagene 1945 i Holbæk“.
