I've been following Taysom Hill since his BYU days. He's a beast. The Saints are lucky to have him. As a Texans fan, he's welcome to come west down I-10 if y'all ever decide to cut him loose. Edit to add - Taysom Hill loves football. He's always grinning ear to ear each time he gets the ball. Like he's a kid in Pop Warner. The passion shows up in every play where he's involved.

I've wondered for years why the Saints, or any other team would take a Taysom Hill and use him only sparingly as a "secret weapon"..!!??? These last few games are evidence that when a coach is not afraid to use him in a vital role in the offense, they win. It boggles my mind why coaches and team owners who are paid to win games have been so blind to this fact! Does his modest, family man persona have anything to do with this?

BYU alum here, Hill was a terrible passer in college, but at the NFL combine he tested out as one of the 4 or 5 strongest prospects ever. His strength facilitates all his accomplishments.👍🏽

Um.. I watched Taysom play at BYU and he was not a terrible passer. Passing wasn't his strong suit but he defiantly wasn't "terrible".
@duane9166
@duane9166 Ай бұрын
Yuh-huh! Hill’s yards per passing play were the lowest in the NCAA his senior year and the worst in BYU history (until he had his 4th season-ending injury). He never could make it through 70% of his reads without taking off on improvised hero ball runs which usually didn’t work out. And on what passes he did throw, his completion percentage was low and he threw as many interceptions as touchdowns. He was terrible. That’s why he wasn’t drafted and why the Packers cut him before the season began. The only reason he had a career is previous New Orleans head coach Sean Payton enjoyed doing unusual things with him, many of which were per his remarkable physical strength. He has become a decent passer over the duration of his NFL career, but it still isn’t a strength for him as last week’s interception demonstrates. (Brother, you gotta watch contradicting a 45-year BYU fanatic!) (kidding, kidding😄)

I’ve heard lots of people at BYU have weird first names. Weird.) Getting back to the point, I out-do him in everything - passing yards and TD’s, rushing yards and TD’s, salary, money in my bank account, bling, looks, physique, personality, love, super bowls, vehicles, posse - EXCEPT fumbles and interceptions. It’s no contest. I’m better than him - and you - in every possible way. Someday I’ll be President of the USA while he and you and Lenny Gomes and both of his Moms are pumping my gas. "It's almost as if firing a bad HC makes you better." How? It's not like they call plays during games or anything, eh? Does anyone *know* what any HC does? I have pointed out that Matt Eberflus _boasted about_ how he meddles in the offensive play-calling & that when things started going wrong reporters never bothered asking Getsy anything: only 'Flus. & he Did Defend play-calls as if they were his own. Plus a lot of what was wrong _before_ Waldron continued *during* Waldron. Yet the meme is that Fields sucked & it had Nothing Whatever to do with play-calling, which is odd because they also insist Getsy sucked. At what if not play-calling? No one W_wants_* to know what an HC does because it depresses people to think that their beloved franchise can ever make a mistake like hiring a bad one. This makes it all so ridiculous. They want them fired when they're in pissy moods, then it takes one good game their decisions weren't responsible for & everyone goes right back on the bandwagon of support. Here's an idea for you: look into wtf the Bears did to Fields. Year 1 under Nagy I heard that Nagy refused to allow Fields to take practice with the starting receivers until he was forced to start him & that twice they told him to snap the ball for a free play 'cause there were 12 men on the field & were wrong both times. & both plays led to him throwing an INT. Most QBs go their entire careers without that happening even once. Then 'Flus comes in & makes his boast after week 2 of '22 I think because the beat the 49ers. So 2 games into his 1st stint as HC. Then Fields Called Out His Coaches for messing with him. I don't think I can properly convey how huge of a deal this is. Fields is religious & has had supportive coaches throughout college. He speaks of & to everyone with deference & respect especially his coaches. Fields states publicly that his Own Coaches are effing him up. Not only did that take a lot _for _*_him_* but why didn't the Bears launch an investigation into which coaches were doing this? After all if *I* saw the video of this, certainly the Bears did. Nope. O"nce idiotic "it's All Fields' Fault" memes became entrenched, everyone refused to look deeper. I think that even now, Arthur Smith hand-cuffed him & called plays designed to have Fields _not throw_ to Pickens that also effed him up. Even if you don't look into it, watch out for Those Plays if Fields ever gets to be QB again. The former QBs who do weekly videos all noticed that Pickens was dragging his feet. To a one, they all said "receivers who Want The Ball only do that under one circumstance: when they know in advance that they aren't gonna get it." That's Arthur Smith for you: undermining his own team just to... no one really knows why he does this. Benching Bijan, telling his QB to make sure he never passes to his best WR. Fields has the _worst_ luck.
