ive been saying it. Khan makes the most of everything. its why he's king Khan. never disappoints me. i also been saying we'd go tackle... as well as center 1 & 2. and i still believe thats what we see tonight. people tend to talk themselves out of the obvious. Khan and Weidl build from trenches. so tonight we'll see center then wr. mark my words, again. also Fautanu will be our right tackle. A+ pick at 20. always love your coverage and look forward to it.💪

I like his process thus far. Thank you1

Building the trenches is key, if you control the line of scrimmage on both sides then you control the game

Seeing him on tape compared to Dan Moore or really any lineman we have right now there is a big difference can’t wait to see him on the field

Great breakdown. He's gonna be a stud and this O-line is gonna be scary. what's funny to me is that everyone was saying O-line O-line O-line, but when it wasn't Barton, it became why didn't we get a CB.

Fautanu fell right into our laps but amazed people are not onboard with a top ten talent that came to us. Must be some people just look at the names that were mocked to us and not the players in the draft overall. Cant wait to see what happens today. Here we go!

@@OmaAlkebulan-grace Im one of those who want to move Daneils back to his natural center position and draft a guard like Zinter or Puni. I don't see any of these Centers as amazing as the pundits do... Especially scared of JPJ. Concussions scare me and 90% of his snaps were to shotgun sets.. Poorly at that. Another bad snapper is not what we need.

I appreciate the work you put into this breakdown. Fautanu is more athletic than I first thought and it's nice to see that mean streak to finish the play. Now if we could only get Mike Munchuk back to help coach up the youngsters this offseason.

Great Fautanu film breakdown! I can't wait to watch him play on Sundays. The Steelers are always hesitant to start rookies right away, but I don't think it will be long until he's starting at Left or Right Tackle. With the additions of Fautanu and Frazier, our O-line should be significantly improved from last year. Not to mention, Mason McCormick. I think he'll be a really good Guard for us. Maybe he doesn't start this year, but it gives us flexibility and depth at Guard. Plus, if we lose Daniels or Seamalu next year, we don't need to worry too much because I think McCormick will be ready to start by next year, if not even sooner. Loved this draft! If we can pick up another quality WR, and a slot CB, via trade or free agency, I think we are contenders. Keep cooking, Khan Artist!

really good edit + breakdown. hope we stick with & maximize power gap/trap running game scheme. i think AFC North defenses are too fast/good to run outside zone all day. love it for screens, hate it for base run game.

DB sounding like sleep deprivation & Red Bull. I say stick at 51 a center will fall. (Unless someone moves up to grab Frazier or jpj) then go WR & CB. Trade for Sutton & lead the league in rushing.

Hoping he switches to RT, I think Broderick is more comfortable on the left and after thinking about it, the right side might even suit Fautanu better. Kinda similar to Penei Sewell - surprisingly has longer arms than Sewell despite the talk of him moving inside. Also, just a thought but maybe it could help with his oversetting if he has his dominant hand on the outside so he'll just have more confidence if a defender tries around the outside.

Can you explain when is the O-lineman is holding and when he isn't?
@Steelers_DB5 ай бұрын
they make it complex but ill try to keep it simple: It's really about keeping the defender within the cylinder of your body and keeping your body between the defender and ball carrier. It's a little bit of a subjective call which causes a bunch of confusion. Here is what is stated on the official NFL rulebook: Use his hands or arms to materially restrict an opponent or alter the defender’s path or angle of pursuit. It is a foul regardless of whether the blocker’s hands are inside or outside the frame of the defender’s body. Material restrictions include but are not limited to: grabbing or tackling an opponent; hooking, jerking, twisting, or turning him; or pulling him to the ground.

DB, can you talk about Ryan McCollum sometime? Is he just a non-option?
@Steelers_DB5 ай бұрын
I haven't watched him enough to have an opinion, man. perhaps I will in the summer tho.
@SDresden5 ай бұрын
Solid player. Not as much of a reach as Mims or a center. But i agree with CJ Stroud when he stated that because of the experience he had with them he would have thought they would take a Corner. (Essentially, playing man on Joey's side and zone on the other side of the field because you do not have another legit corner is asinine)

I know he really only played LT in college, but do we think he is going to play RT for Steelers?
@uh39405 ай бұрын
He played left tackle for a left handed quarterback, so that’s a good thing in this favor. Plus he is projected as versatile across both guard and tackle spots. So I’d say it’s a safe bet that if they want him at RT he will be just fine
@Steelers_DB5 ай бұрын
I’d probably play him at LT to start but I think he has the AA to potentially play all five spots.
@OmaAlkebulan-grace5 ай бұрын
Penix was a Lefty so he basically is a RT. Just flip him with a Right hand QB ↔️
@OmaAlkebulan-grace5 ай бұрын
They said the same thing about Harrison- Debo
@bushmist5 ай бұрын
@@OmaAlkebulan-grace I think he can play RT, but QB being lefthanded makes no difference to his technique, idk why this keeps being brought up. He still slides to the left, he still punches with his left outside hand first. He's not using RT technique just because he's blocking for a lefty QB

It's so unethical to do this, selecting a 1st round Left tackle knowing you are going to move them into a 2nd or 3rd round position and pay, really low down shit, teams that draft 1st round players don't devalue them by moving them to lesser positions, Steelers front office really showed their true colors on this one, these players are expendable to the Steelers brass, it's different when a first round Lt fails on the field justifying the change to RT, but drafting to do this all along is classless, at the very least, whichever ends up at RT, hopefully the Steelers will give them a big kiss, cause they sure screwed them out of money and a lesser valued career, that's just the truth, very unethical and classless decision making by the Steelers and obviously you have to question the entire Steelers narrative that they care about the players so much when they do sneaky classless stuff like this so obviously, just wow, imagine doing this in any other profession, hello lawsuits, discrimination, etc. Just wow I never would have believed they would actually do this to one of these young men as if their careers and them matter so little and the player deserves no career respect
