Still 30,000 dollars in debt and this school never helped me get work in any way. If you wanna be in the movie business move to a hub like New York or LA and start out as a production assistant. Something I was NEVER once told while I attended this school.
@marjonitripp25805 жыл бұрын
Jake Burton A school isn’t suppose to help you get a job. Specially in a field like this. I go to Full Sail and they are always sending me internships, programs and special meet and greets from important people in the Industry. It’s your job to get a job!
@hugboat8085 жыл бұрын
Marjoni Tripp oh I did. I’ve been in the business for 5 years. I worked on all of the Marvel Netflix Television Series, Gotham, Blindspot, Joker and countless other projects. I could’ve started doing all of these things by walking up to a set and asking if they need more PAs, not spending 100,000 on a useless education that in the long run does nothing for you. NOT ONE of my bosses that makes upwards of 2 grand a day even went to school. Please just trust me when I say I know what I’m talking about. I left this school and told them I was moving to NY several times to which they responded positively. They sent me “leads” for jobs in Orlando for the next 3 years until I called and asked them to just stop. I don’t mean to be crass but frankly you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Unfortunately it’s true. I was scrolling through the comments and I’m glad someone said it. This school is for profit. You know what that means? Old Gary here wants to take your money so he can buy another sports car to whip around campus. The school did teach me a few things about G&E work but nothing you wouldn’t learn from on set experience. It’s a damn shame! I’m in Atlanta but I’m heading up to NY after the winter! Maybe I’ll see you on set!

It's showbiz brother! You obviously were not cut out for if you think 30,000 dollars worth of classes guarantee you anything in life let alone something as competitive as film and television. Trust me you learned and moved on with only 30,000 in debt . I know people who bust their ass for 20 years living in poverty or even living in their car so they can keep making films or working behind the scenes because they have a passion for it. Really any kind of art or music is like that. People do work hard and get into the Union and then work regularly but it is definitely a field that requires paying some dues before you really make it

ShiggieWiggie I’m going to agree with this guy. Plus, you need to have a good work ethic. A lot of lazy idiots show up to Fullsail and expect to party and be lazy and do nothing. That’s not how it works there. If you do nothing and if you are lazy, you won’t last long 👎
