Reminds me of a more polished, slightly less athletic AJ Green. Tall, fluid, coordinated and more smooth than explosive. AJ Green was a MONSTER out the gate with 1000 yards and 7 TDs as a rookie. I think it’s fair to expect that from MHJ his first year.

@@alod247AJ green actually only had a 34 inch vertical. But he had immaculate body control and coordination. I think he had a bit more quick twitch muscles than Harrison though. Just a shade quicker and springier. I think Harrison is more physical and has better footwork at the line. And possibly better hands.

The MHJ hype kinda died down out of nowhere. Just a month or two ago he was largely seen as the best WR prospect of all time, how he isn’t even the WR1 on some peoples boards. Maybe this receiver class is just that good?

Me too, but you have let sheep be sheep. I was called an idiot for saying Aaron Donald is the best player in the 2014 draft over Clowney and Khalil Mack and years later I looked like Nostradamus. Happens every year tho and I have plenty more stories like that, but I agree that Nabers is going to be a bonafide superstar.

Only because the people that I’ve heard take mabers over him just sound like hot take ish. They are both going to bad teams without other weapons on the other side of them maybe without a good qb idk I’m I ready to make that hot take without hearing some intelligent reason because he wasn’t in a position to get doubled they guy on the other side of him is just about as good of a athlete and the qb is a top 3 pick this year. But for MHJ Ohio state was this loaded his freshman year we knew he was the best then sophomore year it was just him and jsn he still was the best in the country. This year he came back without a nfl qb and another big time receiver and did the same thing again I’ve seen too many 3rd downs where he was doubled and still got open to change my mind because we believe the other guy is faster

I think the hesitation with MHJ is rooted in the likelihood that There are guys in this draft class with lower floors than MHJ but higher ceilings. Is being the lowest risk WR the same thing as being the highest ceiling (highest potential) WR? Is MHJ about to burn the whole NFL for 14 TDs like Ja’Marr Chase? Probably not but 1k yards and 5-7 TDs is still awesome. But on the other hand there are a couple other WRs in this class that could have that Ja’Marr Chase like rookie season but those guys have lower floors than MHJ. You ever play a video game like Elden Ring where you have to distribute a limited amount of stat attributes? If you make a well rounded character you run the risk of having a character that can do everything well but nothing devastating. But if you focus on a few attributes you end up with a character that is devastating in a particular way.
@cwav4074
@cwav4074 5 ай бұрын
I think MHJ actually has the highest ceiling of any WR by far. Even higher than Chase, because ceiling is determined by absolute best case scenario, mainly size speed and instincts. Marv has all that and more, Chase maybe has more agility, if you are going by video game stats, but Marv has more talent points to spend so to speak

I feel like a receiver like this doesn’t always look as a good as he is because it’s so smooth even in quick cuts. IMO, MHJ is the “best overall player” not taking position value into account. I simply think he has the highest floor of any prospect in any position group. He should be the first WR taken in the draft. He will be effective day one and be valuable to any offense. Barring injury, he is a “can’t miss” prospect.

I feel like everyone is just not considering the season before this. Everyone knew he could’ve been drafted a year ago and would’ve probably been the best wr in the class. This year he had a mid qb that held him back and nabers had the guy who won the heisman. Just wait. MHJ is top 5 as a rookie.

Was that first play really cover 2? It looked like the corner got back deep while the linebacker came over to cover the hook. Also the strong safety was really shallow, practically in the box. Impressive route nonetheless and probably would’ve still been “NFL” open had it actually been cover 2.

Can be great. Great Routes, average speed and average acceleration, doesn’t break tackles. Has trouble separating from fast athletic corners. Lacks some play strength. Overhyped definitely. Still very good. I feel he lacks elite athleticism. As a prospect I would rate him below Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, AJ Green, Jamarr Chase. Not a generational prospect in my opinion.
