I think he works wekk in a TE system like the patriots where he isnt counted on the block as much and can play to his strengths in the receiving game

As a fins fan I can confidently say that most people will be disappointed with Gesicki this year. He is talented don't get me wrong but he is just such a low-effort player. Makes no attempt to block, his route running is awful, he can't make contested catches consistently. I wish him nothing but the best but he was a let-down for us.

He was a consistent 500-800 yard player in the few years before last year as a TIGHT END, not even a receiver

​@@lettucetree5889 he was also one of the only options on the offense so he naturally saw large production. As soon as more talented players showed up he did not contribute nearly as much. However, I agree that he simply isn't a good scheme fit for us.

​@@Sheree.thayne No, I'm not mad. We still have plenty of offensive talent to compensate for his departure. Again, I wish him nothing but the best. I simple expect that he won't live up to expectations
