I really wish the Packers didn't wait till the 5th round in the draft to pick up a defensive player. The problems with the run game were apparent last year and the 49ers capitalized on it. It may have ended sooner if Seattle's running back core wasn't depleted with injuries.

I would have been happier if they would have drafted a stud run stuffing defensive end. I have no problems with the Packers other selections. They were drafting for the future. They will lose either Aaron Jones or Jamaal Williams to free agency next year.

Now I get it. Judging from the commentary here, from sages whose credentials include years of watching football on TV, it becomes obvious (though apparently not to the professionals). Green Bay's problems could be fixed by signing 22 HoF-caliber players, salary cap notwithstanding. That way, the Packers might win, say 14 games per season. How has Green Bay management missed this?

When we moved up in the draft I was like awesome, Tee Higgins or Patrick queen. We would of fixed one of the two major problems and would most likely be back in the NFC Championship game. But I guess the Packers see it as if they have no chance at at super bowl and they'll just get ready for another super bowl run in five or six years when Rodgers leaves. He will probably leave sooner though because I know that whole situation pissed him off as much as it did for Packer fans.

I just knew we were getting queen ...I was up screaming and going crazy lmao. I was so excited running all thru the house ....very dark day . They better have hit a home run with love . Which is completely possible. Does suck to not boost this strong ass team . But the problem with our team is with Rodgers we r never gonna get that top wanted qb. So they felt during the Rodgers era love is gonna be the best guy we were gonna be able to snag....so what ever , still no way I would have passed on queen ....even with some one offering use a extra 2nd rd pick to move up. Queen is easily worth a late first and a 2nd imo

all you have to do is watch how far off the LOS the DL is pushed and how often they are on the ground on these plays. Scheme can cover some deficiencies but overall the DL is so far below average that teams can dictate the game.

They could of had TJ Watt and passed on him to take another has been. The Packers haven't had a defense since Reggie White era. They aren't tough enough. Guys are either in the wrong position on the field or they are dogging it. The heart isn't there. Or maybe the coaching.

I mean you look at then first play against the viks I mean you look at both interior DL getting reached. If they are able to fight over that and compress over the top 51 can run free into the Gap. It also doesn’t matter what the backside DB does as long as he takes a great pursuit angle to the ball. I think our issue lately has been our technique in between the tackles.

Second play the line needs to sink their level and bench press this these guys back. As they did the subsequent play- a little. Rashawn Gary played it well. Splits the double- a little late albeit but still looks for work.

The Packers holding back and seeming to worry about play action could be attributable to the preparation of the coaching staff. Maybe they spent the whole week again and again telling them that they were going to be running play action, you have to be ready for play action!!! Since we weren’t in the team meetings we don’t know that, but it is very possible.

This is a coaching issue period lol. Plenty of teams don't have elite talent at all three levels but they have coaches who can spot their weaknesses and put them in positions of strength. Pettine doesn't do that at all. Blake martinez mad a great statement about pettine saying pettine told him to play off Preston and zadarous. That tells me he doesn't know, understand or care to learn how to stop the run. Plus he's said it himself he doesn't care to stop the run so there's that. We need a new DC point blank period

First play #51 should have hit the hole as soon as he saw it but he hesitates, Meanwhile watch Wagner take a straight an decisive patch to the hole to meet em. Second play Amos played it right, he didn't have help on the edge if it was a play action pass, on the second attempt Jackson is closer to the line to play the receiver but even then he just stands around and doesn't do anything so play action would have caught him flat footed. An the next play Smith doesn't do anything and he lets the tight end mett him and just had his way with him.

I think they can go 11-5 or 10-6, but a wildcard exit and at best get to the second round. Rodgers has no weapons outside of Adams and the defense sucks at stopping the run. No receivers and no linebackers

I think that first play you showed was supposed to have a stunt to the right from the dline. Like a stunt into an over front. Possibly sending an extra rusher from the left as the Packers do like blitzing from time to time. Just a questionable play call when you're facing a run first zone run team in a potential running situation because those linemen are going to have a hard time moving into the next gap over while being double teamed.

I have never heard the phrase, "Undrafted free agent," so much as I have in the past few seasons with The Packers. Translation: Their big draft choices have mostly been busts. Someone tell me the last great draft this team has had. Because I just cannot recall when. Lots of whiffs on that list. This past draft The Green Bay over-paid execs really screwed the pooch.

Mike P has never had a good run D. He ain't that kind of D coach. Homie needs good D players to be successful. Look at his years being a top coach and you'll see why Mike P is considered good.
