Well the theory is dead wrong. Spoiler Alert In the movie Dr strange said that he would protect the stone over the life of Tony or Peter but he gives the stone to thanos if he spared the life of Tony. Why would he change at the last moment, he didn't out of all the possibilities there was only one in which they would win, well I think for that giving the time stone was necessary. Before dying Dr strange tells Tony that there was no other way, I don't think it was for saving his life I think it was for winning. There was no other way to win. I think in the next movie everyone will come back but at a cost. A soul for a soul. I think all the remaining avengers would give their lives to save the next generation of avengers and Adam warlock(Ayesha made him) and captain marvel will be there in the next movie. Plus I think that the gauntlet could only use the power of one infinity stone at once that's why when he snapped his finger the infinity gauntlet broke. But hey that's just a theory a film theory
