​@@lindseyswank3041 Narnia is real and one day every good soul shall reach there but according to me Narnia is more than just the biblical world CS Lewis sure wrote many books based on the bible but the whole story of Narnia has like 90% of paganism myths instances and like none relating Christianity so i like to think he was trying to pass on a message or a real story for people who really want to like escape from whatever prison they r in. there is this quote by him- " If nothing in this world can satisfy you needs then the only logical explanation is that u were made for another world." have u read the last Narnia book because then i could tell u like a very frickin' amazing point but would spoil the last book for u if u haven't read it.

@Saaranya Singh τία I like that quote too, but he also said, “The fact that our heart yearns for something Earth can't supply is proof that Heaven must be our home.” so he was speaking of the Christian Heaven. The reason he said he wrote the books was to tell people about Christianity because he is a Christian. He said that he figured if he put the story of Jesus Christ into a new medium, like a fairy tale, people may be more willing to hear it and become saved. I think if there are any traces of paganism in it it would only be because he made Narnia a world with fairy tale creatures incorporated into it, and some of those creatures naturally came from English folklore of pagan times. It certainly doesn’t mean he was a pagan. I read the books when I was younger btw so you can talk about them if you want.

Lindsey Swank lets do this point by point. 1. Narnia is also called the land of youth (book1) in a famous Irish myth or as I like to call it legend of osin is also called the land of youth. 2. The famous apple tree (b1) u might compare this to the the Christian one but this one has no curse if u have a good heart. This is taken from the Greek legend of the garden of Hesperides (daughters of atlas) These sisters were the guardians of the apple tree of Hera and guess what these apples were first of all golden and any person who eats one will never die this also has a Norse version in which these “same” apples are guarded by Idun. 3. According to narnians the world ended after the great sea which was supposedly full with monsters- this is taken from the Greek and Roman belief in which the world ended after Spain (Atlantic) and this sea was full of monsters. 4. The end of narnia- the Father Time rises from the depth of charn which is a not so discoverable place and crushes the sun now correct me if I’m wrong but according to Norse mythology of ragnarøk the sun is destroyed by fenrîr who finally escaped from his hidden island just to destroy the sun. 5. Narnia comes from the ancient Roman town of narnia now known as narni. 6.he calls the animals fricking talking beasts I mean how clear can he get. 7. In the last book CS Lewis ended Susan’s story in exactly one page! It created an uproar among the fans and the sales dropped drastically and I mean like if he had remove that single page nothing let me repeat NOTHING would have changed just a few people would’ve been more happy but he didn’t BUDGE! According to me he did that cause it was real just a theory but a strong one. I think he cloaked paganism instances with Christian beliefs so that more people bought it and I ain’t a Christian but had he approached paganism without discretion he was bound to share the same fate as Galileo Galilee. I have many more things to support the above points but unfortunately KZbin has a word limit :)

Saaranya Singh τία C.S Lewis learned a lot about pagan myths and such when he was college age, but he then converted to Christianity, and he definitely did not lie about that because he basically lived and breathed Jesus. He wrote 18 other books that were only about Christianity and he has hundreds of quotes about his Christian faith all over the internet. He said “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” He also said, “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.” He certainly was not just moderately interested in Christianity. A little girl once wrote him a letter asking what the meaning of Narnia was. He said, “I said ‘Let us suppose that there were a land like Narnia and that the Son of God, as He became a man in our world, became a Lion there, and then imagine what would happen.’” So Narnia was imagining what would happen if another world existed and Jesus came to save them like he did us. Just as Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, Aslan died on the stone table to pay for Edmund’s sin in the story. If you believe in Jesus and repent of your sins you are saved. Jesus loves you and wants to adopt you into his family (: Lewis used those pagan legends to create the imaginary world and give it that mythical, magical feel I think, but everything shows that he was a Christian and didn’t believe those myths to be true. What he did believe to be true was the death and resurrection of Jesus, which is the reason he himself gave for his books. You should read some of his other literature and see what I mean. BTW the Catholic church is full of evil people who are not really Christians at the top, so please do not judge Christianity based on the ancient Catholic church. They taught a lot of wrong stuff that isn’t even in the Bible ):

Watching this kinda makes me wanna cry cause when these movies came out Narnia was pretty much my life, I loved it sooooo much. I would practice my British accent all the time lol I wished so badly I could live in Narnia and be a queen and shoot Susan's bow, this video really gave me the feels. I've read all the books and I wish they continued to make these movies (I know there are rumors of a fourth but I highly doubt it will happen).

My youngest friends: in the first movie, the witch and all their zombies were so happy when Aslan was killed...but they were defeat by his resurection...
