A lot of this is Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson crap though unfortunately . @@julianmitchell5776 Frank did go into the cymeks, Erasmus, Ominous. The latter making an appearance in book 6 Chapterhouse Dune, as the old lady and man. The last book Frank wrote. His son and Anderson did the rest with his partial stories and notes. Idaho was always meant to be the final KH.

Thanks so much for this, this is a great video that puts the entire Dune universe into context for fans of the movies that haven't read the books. Although I have read all the expanded books by Herbert Jr and Anderson, I do have some issues with them particularly the way they directly contradict or ignore many of Frank's precepts and storylines with far too many plot conveniences for my liking at times. Omnius as the "Enemy" at Krazelic and Duncan the final Kwisatz Haderach? Come on, it's a copout.

The "Ones Without Faces" appeared to be evolved face dancers who had regained so many memories that it enabled them to break free from the Tleilaxu Masters. They seemed to exist in another dimension, observing from an undisclosed place where they could watch Duncan and he could see them behind a net of some sort. Much of the information about the Butlerian Jihad comes from Frank Herbert's son, Brian. I enjoyed the work, but I didn't see confirmation for a new thinking machine (or AI) empire in the conclusion of what was supposed to be his penultimate book of the series. He sadly passed away before he could write the conclusion, so we never really know for sure.
@julianmitchell57763 ай бұрын
Face dancers are something I just really don’t understand . Bene gesserit and mentats I can imagine as actually being real . Guild navigators not so much either . But in dune where there are no aliens or extra terrestrial beings or monsters or creatures etc . I just can’t understand how there are humans they can completely change their face like that . Just doesn’t make any sense
@veritasinvicta81283 ай бұрын
@@julianmitchell5776 I don't get how navigators use the spice to fly ships through the galaxy. The face dancers have some genetic abilities that they can use to not only assume the face but even the memories as they were advanced and improved upon..
