For those of you wondering, GMK Ghidorah isn't an actual King Ghidorah. In the film, he's stated to be a juvenile Yamata No Orochi which was an eight-headed dragon in ancient times. Ghidorah along with Mothra (in a book seen in the film, she is portrayed as having the tail of a phoenix) and Baragon were slain by ancient warriors who then layed the souls of the three beasts to rest, praying for them to one day defend Japan in its time of need. Ghidorah in the film had only rested long enough to grow back three heads, Takeda (a character who assists the main character Yuri in learning more about the Guardian Monsters) states that if Ghidorah had regrown all eight heads that he was basically invincible and unstoppable. As a lifelong Godzilla fan who has seen all of the movies, I appreciate that this video showed off how Godzilla and Ghidorah’s designs have changed over time but are awesome in their respective ways. Shin is better on its own. Its the only movie that does credit to the original in portraying Godzilla as a tragic, in pain, truly monsterous and horrific mutated creature. Showa is goofy monsters fighting, Heisei is less goofy monsters fighting, but Shin and the OG are just Godzilla being horrifying and dangerous. For me I prefer that Legendary embraces the big titan brawls aspect of Godzilla whereas the Reiwa era focuses on the horrors and terror of it like it has been with Shin, the anime, and singular point so far

He truly is “the one who is many.” Still one of my favorite kaiju besides Godzilla.
