Have you made money from your film screenings this way? What has worked, was hasn't worked?

This is really inspiring, I’m real young and directing my own first feature right now, so this was really cool to hear :)

These are very very good questions. Who is the lady always doing the interviews? She's great!

Good inspiring interview. Keep the good work up. By the inspiration of this interview, I am now a creator this day and forever. Creators make things happen and they touch a lot of lives. Thanks bro. Cheers

I remember seeing him talk about this...good interview..I do think this could possibly work...and worth trying however..this guy already had somewhat of a following...and did this years ago...the same techniques used 3..4..5 years ago prepandemic...not saying they won't work..but definitely have to be adjusted for modern times...I would like to see more content about recent success stories..like last year lol...I love you film courage ❤..but most of the guests..not all to be fair.most majority seem to be people who succeed or made there name.10..15..20 years ago

I work part time for a small film festival and I gotta say that these days it’s pretty hard to get seats filled (post pandemic). I hope this method still works but I’m just not sure

Spend $45K ($25K movie, $20K marketing), make $80K. Profit $35K and some awards. Also very little about streaming.

What festival in South Carolina? Probably Beaufort International?

Same with video games, it's better at the moment to undercut the internet and go to events, I feel like the internet has been going downhill for independent creators for a while now.

So the short answer is "Sell merchandise, do a lot of screenings". I'm screening the first episode of a Zombie series I'm starting on August 26th in Los Angeles at an Art Gallery. I'm charging $10 at the door. I don't even expect $1000. The title gave me the impression he made that much money off one screening, but I'm wrong. He obviously said "A lot of screenings". So, I guess I have to book a lot more.

So you bash film festivals for profiteering from you then you used film festivals to quadruple your money? Really?
