I always look forward to videos with Shannan. She’s so knowledgeable and real about the industry without the bitterness many carry after years in the game.

Shannan again. I love her interviews. Very intelligent woman. I'm gonna pay her to read my scripts and pay her to help me correct any written mistakes I may have.... I'm currently working on a cannabis documentary and a homeless documentary. After those, I'm gonna dig back into my feature length scripts. Much respect Film Courage for giving writers, producers, directors and actors a platform 👍🏾 👏🏾

I've seen a good number of cannabis documentaries. Would you mind sharing your angle on the subject?
@DJSharpBeats2 жыл бұрын
@@myNarrator I would like to highlight the recent legalization of cannabis throughout many states. B-Roll some smoke shops and street smokers. Get some raw interviews from people who served time for weed etc.
@myNarrator Жыл бұрын
@@DJSharpBeats very cool. I'd love to help you, but I'm in Canada. If you come here though, I can hook you up with a shop owner, a couple of police officers that would be happy to chat about what legalization has done here, and a fairly influential figure in the Canadian cannabis industry.

This lady is very helpful for writers... Especially with character descriptions. Meet Shannon: (first short version) "A hand-talker. Loves making important decisions about ear rings ...." I might delete the love remark. Shorter. The setting on the plane or in Sweden already does that. So I start again: Meet Shannon: "A hand-talker. Decides on ear rings". That's better. A hand-talker must be confident, even pretty. Is articulate (with the odd grammatical mistake). Like to think she knows how to tell stories, but instead, now decides on ear rings. Thank you, Shannon.

After a course of screenwriting and after reading, of course, all the recommended books and bibles... I watched many, many videos here, before I started writing. You're the best channel for aspiring filmmakers. SHE is Excellent explaining concepts. Is she still doing script consulting? I would pay for her to read the screenplay of my feature.

About midway through, she talked about the discouragement of waiting to be told what to do because of the slower learning curve. I tend to have that happen to me most of the time when I'm in a new situation even when I'm "prepared" somewhat. So hearing that from someone like her was reassuring.
