Films such as MY BEAUTIFUL LAUNDRETTE (1985) made Stephen Frears a leading voice in New British Cinema. He followed up on this with such internationally popular and multiple award-winning films as DANGEROUS LIAISONS (1988), THE QUEEN (2006), and PHILOMENA (2013). Christoph Gröner and Julia Weigl will talk to the celebrated director about his career and his latest film, THE LOST KING, which will be screened in the Spotlight section at this year’s festival.
