What is the best Filipino dish in your opinion? Mine is... SISIG

Still Adobo. No one hate Adobo and it's very versatile. Everyone can make their own adobo. Can be sweet, Can be creamy and can be spicy etc.

Adobo is probably the most loved and it is widely considered the unofficial national dish. Adobo is a versatile dish that can be made with many different ingredients and cooking methods. Also, I prefer lechon over sisig. 😬

Yeah agree, the gaminess of the blood paired with the organs is challenging to remove for starters. The easiest way is to mask the flavor with sugar and/or sour agent.

@@Zeromortisimus same with the sour preference!!! Will always go for the Kapampangan version (Tidtad), perfect level of sour and is fattier than other regional variants.

Dinuguan does not have to be innards. The use of innards is to make use of them instead todisposing them off. Regular meat could be used.

Dinuguan has many variations in different region in the Philippines, the stew is quiet intimidating to be honest, for first timers I suggest go with the dry dinuguan this version is particularly cooked in Northern Philippines, you wouldn't even actually can tell if it is Dinuguan because the visuals is similar to dry Adobo, Great video, love all the reaction!

Even as Filipino, it took me a while before I get to like dinuguan since first experience is awful. Although I learn to like it since I love skewers. Innard skewers made me Guage the level how good innards can be. + Other versions of dinuguan like beef? Or just normal meat. Before I can appreciate an actual dinuguan. Although nowadays, I prefer those normal meat versions. Feels like the quality of those innards becomes less and less. or might be just me getting tired of the taste from skewers.

And what are Chinese, Spanish , Italian , Greek and Mexican food a mix of? Every country has a version of some food or other but one has to look at the Philippines and its geographical location and one would realize that it was colonized several times. So the influence is there but it is also a country made up of 7000 plus islands so there is a variety of food Some very traditional Filipino food based on the location and what grows in those places

I don't see the huge deal of eating dinuguan. It's like eating any other food found in your local store. It's no different from eating pork liver, skin, meat, etc. I don't get the "it's like eating placenta" part. That's obviously coming from a stereotype. Filipino food is mostly fresh, nothing to be squirming about. They fry chicken, fish, pork meat, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary like eating a chimpanzee's brain , a roasted bat or anything of that sort.
