Man, forget about Filmic Pro, your movie just really moved me. You just told a touching story through your lens. Seeing the lady talking to the younger lady on the bench makes us reflect on life and what's important, spending time with our loved ones, simple things that matter. Back to technology LOL, I just felt the skin tone a bit too orange-y to my taste, it distracted me from my emotion watching the video :) Oh and obviously, clever choice of music!!

Awesome video! Really shows the power of the iPhone's sensor paired with great software. Although, some clips (2 ladies in the bench) were a little over saturated for my taste. Still enjoyed the music and scenes! Thanks for sharing. I actually uploaded my test (iphone 7+ | FilmicPro LOG) recently as well.

This is previous version or the latest LogV2? Nice footages, thank you! I'm also interested to see comparison between iPhone XS original camera app's footage vs footage shot with Filmic Pro app (LogV2 itself, and also graded the LogV2 to look similar as iPhone's original app's footage, to see how the dynamic range improved).

Martinborough is a bit boring but the coast and Cape Palliser are easily reached and are spectacular, lots to see there.

Specially log profile has often problems in dark areas so flat profile can be better. So is Filmic Pro using all the “extended dynamic range” of the new XS? If not Is Filmic working on it? Can we see in the future a HEVC option also for 24fps 4K (with high bitrate...suppose A12 has enough power to manage high data flow). Tanks for Your and Filmic Pro great job

Hi Stefan. When I made this video the LUTs were not available. Despite this, you'd want FilmConvert if you want to emulate classic film stocks. Now I use the FiLMiC deLOG LUT as a starting point, then finish in FilmConvert as I love the film look it provides.

I don't wanna be the party pooper lmao, but for such a small sensor the wide "dynamic range" comes at a cost, which is noticeable denoised footage or either noticeable noise in the footage due to the gain increase in the shadows to compensate for the actual lack of dynamic range, and lack of detail. If you are buying the phone for the camera for non-pro videos I think it's good enough and the iPhone is incredible, if not the best. If you are into video making, obviously don't buy this, at that price range you already have an amazing camera from Blackmagic that destroys the iPhone camera into tiny pieces.

It was really blue during filming. Just used the FiLMiC LUT available here: www.filmicpro.com/luts/

I've tried to work with android phones and Filmic Pro, but it has always been a hit and miss. When I contacted the Filmic pro developers, they told me that most of the issues they have on making Filmic Pro compatible with android phones has to do with the Snapdragon processor. iPhones don't have that limitation, and so I switched to iPhone for that reason. Got tired of dealing with incompatible android updates.

It is absolutely possible. Most flagships released in last couple of years that support FiLMiC Pro also support the cinematographer kit in app purchase which includes LOG.

That's interesting! I have two s6's that I interchange(mainly a "battery switch"), but I have yet for the phones to crash. Which processor does the s7 edge use?

A bit over exposed but I am sure it's the phone. We need 4k 60fps minimum for cinematic video but Log v2 only goes 30fps on Filmic currently. Bummer.
