Greatest is a too inferior word to describe the legacy of the most talented actor named Dilip Kumar . So many artists had gone but tears actually flowed from my eyes on the departure of Dilip Kumar sahab . Never a day went after 7 July that I didn't miss this man whom I even consider my role model . Today , he is physically no more with us but mentally & morally , he shall be always remembered terribly by his fans . Besides being a great artist , Dilip Kumar sahab had been a very humble & great human being , contributing towards the welfare of the society , doing many charities as possible as well as many other humanitarian works . Even when this film 'Madhumati (1958)' went out of budget , then Dilip Kumar sahab reduced ₹70,000 of his fees & also influenced the distributors to help Bimal Roy sahab in the same who was the film's producer & director . This shows what Dilip Kumar sahab was as a person . He was , is & shall always remain my most most favourite actor among all . I consider him a role model from many walks of life . Thank you so much for uploading this lovely video on the greatness of Dilip Kumar sahab . The legacy he had left behind can never be surpassed by a second artist . Hey rishab Hain. I have seen many times of ur comments that u r a dilip hater. No problem. Satya it roy said that dilip Kumar is the ultimate method actor and perhaps has the most dignity than any other actors. I don't know why some people hate him. It's their personal reason. I am from Bangladesh but I am fond of old Bollywood films. Look, u may have different opponent but u have to listen to the world class actors. Satya it Roy s one of the greatest actor of the whole world. He won oscars lifetime achievement award. He said that about dilip. U have to obey it. Amitabh Ji, srk, Amir, naseeruddin shah, dharmendra, Rajesh, Manoj Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Kamal Hassan, Anil Kapoor almost everybody said that things about dilip Kumar. Who r actors can understand better than public. Dilip Kumar is the first method actor of the world. He was doing methods before Hollywood. Marlon Brando, dustin Hoffman, Robert di niro, al Pacino all method actors have trainings. But dilip is the untrained method actor. Unfortunately Hollywood didn't know that in the east part of the world one actor was doing method acting. That was dilip kumars. At that time Indians didn't know about method acting. Even dilip Kumar didn't know that he is a method actor. First time satyajit roy recognise that dilip is a ultimate method actor. The world ultimate means last stage. Dilip is the last stage, very high class method actor. But it was too late. Because dilip Kumar was over 50 that time. He was unlucky because if satyajot Roy recognised him Earlier, he could get oscars best actor because of how high class acting. It's not my opinion, I am no one to give opinions nor u. It's the fact. So we have to agree with it.

Sanjeev Kumar is most verstile actor. But versatility is one thing, method acting is another. In that era, Indians don't know much about method acting. Satyajit roy recognised that dilip Kumar is a method actor. All other actors said dilip Kumar is greatest. Even today's ranveer Singh to shahrukh khan, Amitabh bachchan to Amir khan, Kamal Hassan to naseeruddin shah. Sanjeev Kumar, balraj sahni, naseeruddin shah, Amir khan r also method actors. But their method skill r not as good as dilip Kumar. Sanjeev is the most verstile, he could easily play any role and never took any retake. But the difference between him and dilip Kumar is if the skillset. Sanjeev Kumar is error free actor. He hardly make any mistakes but he is not as skillful as Dilip Kumar. Satyajit Roy described Dilip Kumaras the ultimate method actor. The world ultimate means the last stage. Dilip Kumaris the last stage of method acting. He was world's first method actor way before Hollywood. He was unlucky that people couldn't recognised his method acting. Hollywood didn't know that in the other part of the world there is alreadya high class method actor in Dilip Kumar. Satyajit Roy discovered his method acting very late when he was at his 50s. . Kamal Hassan said that u have to be an actor to fully understand Dilip Kumar's greatness.

Look Sanjeev Kumar is most versatile. But yes, if dilip Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar r playing the same role, Dilip Kumar's skillset will be better than Sanjeev Kumar. But Sanjeev can play more roles easily than Dilip. But in same role, Dilip will be better. U can say dilip Kumar once admitted that Sanjeev is the versatile actor But in that time, dilip didn't know that he is a method actor. Dilip used to think himself a classical actor. He is also a self critic. Once a reporter asked him how does it feel to be the greatest actor. He replied, in a country which has produced actors like motilal, prithbiraj Kapoor, Shivaji ganesan, Kamal Hassan, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh bachchan, balraj sahni, Ashok Kumar, naseeruddin shah, uttam Kumar, Amir khan u can't consider myself as the greatest. I am just a student of acting. Satyajit roy is one of the top 5 directors of the world. When Dilip Kumar asked that satyajit described him as ultimate method actor he replied, does satyajit really said that? I am very grateful that he thinks like that. I don't know if I am really a method actor but I am very happy that a huge guy like satyajit thinks like that. I will always have a regret not to work with him. He offered me a role but due to some reasons it never happened. If I had worked with him, my best performance will come out under his direction.

Dilip Kumar has done comedy roles such as Kohinoor, Azad, Ram aur Shyam etc. Look, Amitabh is called as the angry young man. Does it mean that he can only do angry scene. No, he also have romantic movies like kabhie kabhie and many more. Amitabh bachchan also copied some comedy scene of Dilip Kumar. Did u see mard movie of amitji. There is a mirror scene which Amitji copied from dilip Kumar movie Kohinoor. Did u see bade Miya chote Mia. A comedy movie of Amitabh bachchan and govinda. They copied many scenes from dilip Kumar movie ram aur shyam. Such as the restaurant scene. Dilip Kumar also had action movie. Ganga Jamuna is best action movie. Amitabh bachchan's deewar is a copy of ganga jamuna. The story is same. Amitabh bachchan also stated that dilip kumar's ganga jamuna has much influence in his acting career. Dilip Kumar movie naya daur, footpath, paigham r social movies. Dilip Kumar also had romantic movies like mughal e Azam, madhumati. Shahrukh khan's om shanti om is almost copy of dilip Kumar movie madhumati. The storyline is quite same. Dilip not only had tragedy roles but also other movies. And let me tell u another thing. Dilip Kumar got 8 film fare best actor awards. In that movies only two r tragedy roles. Daag & devdaas. 4 of those r comedy roles. They r Azad, Kohinoor, leader, ram aur shyam. 1 is social roles. That is naya daur. And one is action role. That is shakti. Ganga Jamuna is dilip Kumar 's best performance. The role was action. But he couldn't get award from it. Amitabh bachchan said, sometimes we do a film and believe that we will get an award but couldn't get it. We console ourselves by this fact that dilip Kumar couldn't get an award for ganga jamuna, who the hell r u." Look, in dilip's early career, he had tragedy roles but there was no award then. Andaz, babul, Jogan, jugnu, deedar all r Dilip Kumar biggest tragedy movies. But there was no award that time. He first received the award for daag. It was a tragedy. Then Azad which was comedy. Then devdas which was Tragedy. His all other award winning roles r comedies & some r action or social. Hope u have got ur answer.
