वर्ष 1954 की कालजयी फिल्म नागिन का "मन डोले मेरा तन डोले" हिंदी सिनेमा इतिहास के सबसे लोकप्रिय गीतों में से एक है। गाने में बजाया गया संगीत बेहद विशिष्ट है। इसने लोगों की कल्पना को इतना प्रभावित किया कि इसके चारों ओर बहुत सारे मिथक बन गए ! सबसे लोकप्रिय यह कि साँप इससे "आकर्षित" हुए और गाना बजने पर फिल्म थिएटर सिनेमा हॉल में प्रवेश कर जाते थे! मिथकों के अलावा, गीत की लोकप्रियता इस तथ्य से सिद्ध होती है कि यह 1954 में वार्षिक बिनाका गीतमाला हिट परेड में यह गीत नंबर 2 पर था जिन जिन लोगों ने भी यह फिल्म देखी होगी उन्हें अच्छी तरह मालूम होगा कि मूल फिल्म में यह पूरा गीत तकरीबन 6 मिनट 15 सेकंड का है । वे सब लोग जिन्होंने अपने जमाने में रेडियो सीलोन /ऑल इंडिया रेडियो की उर्दू सर्विस /विविध भारती / दिल्ली A/दिल्ली B/लखनऊ / भोपाल/जबलपुर/नजीबाबाद/ रेडियो जम्मू-कश्मीर / बीबीसी / रेडियो दायचे वेले जर्मनी/ रेडियो टोकियो वगैरह अथवा किसी अन्य प्रमुख रेडियो स्टेशन से पुराने गाने सुने होंगे, वे जानते ही होंगे कि उन दिनों 4 इंच के मोनो स्पीकर वाले रेडियो से कितनी स्वाभाविक आवाज आती थी I देखिए उन दिनों जब इंटरनेट का दौर नहीं था तब रेडियो स्टेशनों पर गीत ग्रामोफोन रिकॉर्ड प्लेयर पर ही बजाए जाते थे और उनसे जो आवाज /साउंडट्रेक हमें सुनने मिलता था वैसा बहुत बार यूट्यूब पर नहीं मिल पाता है। लेकिन ये वीडियो साउंड ट्रैक बेहद ऑरिजिनल है। इसे सुनें और महसूस करें। "मन डोले मेरा तन डोले" के बोल राजेंद्र कृष्ण जी ने पूर्वी यूपी भाषाई अंदाज में लिखे थे। राग "पीलू" पर आधारित इस गीत में हेमंत दा की कालजयी धुनों और लता दी की स्वर्णिम आवाज ने इसे हमेशा के लिए अमर रचना बना दिया। वैजयंतीमाला अपने जमाने की बेहद कुशल भरतनाट्यम नृत्यांगना रही हैं। इस गीत में उनकी खूबसूरत अदाकारी और नृत्य के छोटे-छोटे स्टेप्स में कई बार बहुत मनमोहक रुप, दृश्य देखने को मिलते हैं। विशेषकर हेमंत दा की दी धुनें 0:37 से 0:44 तक बेहद खास किस्म के उठान लिए हुए जैसे आसमां से धुनें, संगीत उतरता चला आ रहा है ! और वैजयंतीमाला के 1:52 से शुरु हुए नृत्य कौशल / स्टेप्स 1:52 से 2:15 तक,3:19 से 3:30 तक शिखर पर और 3:35 तक चरम पर पहुँच कर दर्शक के हृदय पर वाकई साँप लोट जाते हैं। दृश्य,सेट, सज्जा, निर्देशन और कलाकारी का कोई जवाब ही नहीं है। बीन की धुनें! ये किसने रचीं ? इस कालजयी गीत को हेमंत दा के संगीत निर्देशन में तब उनके सहायक रहे पंडित रविशंकर शर्मा (रवि), कल्याण जी एवं संगीत सहायिका लुसीला पाचेको ने मिलकर तैयार किया था। बीन की ध्वनि वास्तव में रवि द्वारा हारमोनियम पर बनाई गई थी। जबकि कल्याणजी ने क्लैवोलिन पर साथ दिया था। पंडित रविशंकर शर्मा (रवि) ने एक बार अपने एक इंटरव्यू में यह रहस्योद्घाटन किया था कि इसकी बीन धुन तब हेमंत दा की संगीत सहायिका लुसीला पाचेको, जो गोवा में जन्मी पियानोवादक थीं, जो तब के विभिन्न बैंडों के साथ हिस्सा लेती थीं और उस समय हिंदी फिल्म उद्योग में कई संगीतकारों के लिए काम करती थीं, ने बनाया था । हेमंत दा और उनके सहयोगी सभी कलाकारों को सादर नमन !☺️♥️🙏🙏🌹👏👏

I comment a lot in Indian songs videos, but this song is special. I work as developer more than 80 hours week, in a bank also as freelancer in Brasil, and in the way to my job in the train and bus, i keep listening to those indians songs from old movies, thinking how is to live in a small village in the countryside of India, How life must be amazing, must be sometimes poor in terms of money, but imensurable rich in terms of humanity!! Ive been to India three times, and everytime I step out of India, I begin to miss it. I think god put me in Brasil by wrong ,I should be born in India. This song is too precious!! It richs the deep of the soul!! I dont understand a word of the lyrics, but it makes me cry inside, missing a life I never had.

Dear, are you or anyone able to say the meaning of this song , please i beg you to do it because i also like very much it,& very often my late father used to sing this , that was how i had the oppotunity to listen to it then, that was about 45yrs ago. I like it for all those reasons, like so many others I am listening to this even in 2020. But Vyjayanthimala's joyous and graceful dancing, is the final gem in this crowning glory of art. Kudos.
