I heard this song when I was only 12 years old.That too at a Durgapuja pandal. After seven years when studying in college I saw the film at a matinee show. From then on this song haunts me like anything. When I had a cassette recorder of my own in the seventees , I had this song in Rafiji's all time hit series. At my present age this song of the golden era of Indian films reminds me of the time.

@@jusme4142 Subcontinent means India+Pakistan and i mean classical music of both countries.There are thousands of Pakistani classical songs that are copied and used cross border without copyrights and credits.I don't know where and how respect is due.I don't mind when our songs are copied brutally if they keep it more original.And thats my point is i don't like classical music recreated with hiphop without copyrights.

I was just 3 yrs old at the realise of this CID Film :) Actor Dec Anand movie black & white.my late Dad was a Hindi movie buff.so he had purchased a His Master Voice gramophone at that time. When I grew up till 8 yrs old I started listening to the songs on the record..I thought that some lady & a Man were hidden inside the Gramophone box & used to sing the songs. Till later when I was in 10 th Class Student this Movie was released as a Matinee Show in the year 67 @ a Cinema near by( Kohinoor talkies ) just a walking distance from the school I attended..Dr Antonio Da-Silva high school -: Dadar west..near Kabutar Khana ..it was a morning 10:30 am show..I think the rate was two rupees per ticket a huge amount for me..this song sung by a road side dancer I think it was either Marine lines or Worli Sea place as the background looks familiar to me as many friends used to sit down to chat & breathe fresh Air ..eat peanuts from a U,P seller ..a episode was seen recently..& the Dancer & the Harmonic player were sing & dancing In the background with Dev Anand Saab & the Heroine walking past ..the Camera was Focus on them thro out I never knew who they were as I used to watch the main Actors in the Film. But these unknown faces became famous because of the song ...the girl Miss Sheila Vaz I came to know later was a good dancer. I hope to watch more such songs sung by unknown faces who contributed so much for the movie.
