Love these. They don't waste time but you get so much out of it. Can't wait for more Rob

This was great! I learned more from this than a lot of 10+ minute videos. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this up!

Hey man! This is awesome. I'll be filming my first music performance at a local Hard Rock Cafe. Is there any tips you can give me?

It would be cool to see a close up of both camera setups. Monitors, mounts, cables.... I'm new to the fs5.

Dude. Keep doing these quick and dirty breakdowns. No one does these. I'd rather watch this than vlog style self indulgent day-in-the-life videos by production folks (though those have their place I guess).

Thanks so much! I'm not a huge fan of vlogs myself, but I love making production videos. I have a few more in the works!

For one-man-bands like me, it’s just nice to see how other people do stuff and I appreciate the details. I like the length too. It’s hard for me to watch some of the KZbinrs because in the back of my mind I’m thinking they aren’t actually “working.” It feels like they have no clients which is weird for me to even listen to their expertise.

Would love to know how you setup audio for this live music session! Did you run the piano, guitar + 2 mics for vocals to an external recorder?

What was your experience matching the FS5 and FS7 footage in post? Did the colors/contrast/look match right off the bat, or did you need to do a lot of grading to get them to match?

What FPS and resolution did you shoot at? Looks great!

Was this one shot (multicam) or multiple takes?

Hi Robert, have you shot in slog for the FS5? When I shoot ISO 3200 it’s all noisy. I don’t shoot internal though. I use Atomos Shogun inferno to shoot RAW or Prores.

question: if u shot a music video with fs7 in 50fps (audio lip-sync in normal speed). what would u do in NTSC Premiere timeline post-production? 24 or 25? and the lip-sync won't be affect it. thanks a lots

Hey Robert, Lovely breakdown! Thanks for making the effort. Two questions 1. Did you record internal on the FS5 and in which codec? 2. Did you post about your light metering before? I'm curious to see your workflow on that aswell. Thanks again!
@robchado6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I believed we used the XAVC-L codec on the FS5 internally. I haven't done a light meter specific video yet, but I will be posting a BTS with one next month!
