Really well done, great pace and visually supported. Nice to have a guide that was updated post job changes, thank you. I noticed you've done several controller guides, will check them out. I'm pretty well set up with my PS5 controller but have been having some ground targeting issues as of late. I play on PC but use my PS5 controller. They popped up out of nowhere. I conquered most of them via macro but that does not work when the game presents you with a instanced related skill that requires ground targeting. i.e., MSQ dungeon magitek portion.

Thank you for this video! I just picked up the class to have a nice, fun little alt for when I don't feel like playing Red Mage, and once I saw the hotbar tooltips I nearly had a heart attack! It's still proving to be quite a lot to wrap my head around, but this is by a considerable margin the most understandable video on how Viper's combo system works that I've seen, and it's more up to date with the 7.05 changes aswell which really helps clear up a lot of confusion. I really liked that you pointed out that the Viper's Job Gauge actually acts as a guide for where you are in your combo and what's good to do next, really good information to have when a simple-minded person like myself often finds himself lost amidst a sea of sauce.

Keep making these videos man. The most straight forward easy tp follow guide ive seen before. Especially because i play on controller. Could you do a full controller guide/setup. I'm lvl 92 pld and dipping into deeps. Been playing reaper but find it to slow/ aggravating with the soul and shroud gauge. Maybe its just how i have it setup. But i was thinking of playing viper this guide helped a ton. Earned a sub my dude.

A good, updated video on viper rotation that includes a controller layout? This sprout is your biggest fan now lol. I've been playing dragoon as my melee till Shadowbringers (its my go to when I dont want to do SMN's simpler rotation), but I've been struggling to connect with the job. Thought about switching to a new melee for the post patches+ and figured I'd give viper a try, since for all its positionals its combos seem a little easier to use on controller over Dragoon's 5 million gcds and ogcds LOL. Which I usually like, but I've been playing it since ARR and it's burning me out. Time to dig through your channel and see if there's any other guides! Thank you so much!

Awesome guide, I do have one question. When will you make the decision to use either Vicewinder / Vicepit combos vs the normal combos?

Because the vice combo openers share charges that regenerate over time, I like to use them frequently to ensure the recharge process is continuous and to avoid maxing out the charge limit. Given that both combos use more button presses than the basic combos, I find it best to use them during moments when I'm not preoccupied with dodging AoEs or managing other fight mechanics. Hope that helps!

Thx. I started the job and just got so annoyed. The "guide" quest was like. Here fly this plane. And here are the buttons. Press them and you will fly. But keep in mind. You need the right order. And the order is??? Yes. Good luck.
