Eric Wetzel thanks Eric! We normally put the EOS R or A73 on the Ronin S, but the c200 worked out better than I was expecting. Good luck with it!

@@FilmJams Np I watched another video stating the camera doesnt have 4k 120 fps but if u watched gemini man dirtbike crash 120 fps makes speed look slow but i guess would ve nice for speed ramping but 60fps is just fine too .... any thoughts on this and should this be a deal breaker ...
@FilmJams4 жыл бұрын
Personally I don’t think so. I rarely use 120 fps. A lot of time I even shoot 48fps slo mo because I don’t want it too slow. For those situations where you need extreme slo mo I just rent a slo mo camera or use a different camera. The 120 fps in the c200 isn’t amazing - it’s a little soft - but it can look good if you make sure to double your shutter speed, or shoot at a 180 degree shutter angle. The 60p especially in Canon RAW looks amazing.

@@FilmJams ive seen that one! Yeah that shake was somewhat distracting. But it can be done! I want to eventually get a harness so I can get more shots with bigger cameras with the current setup. Ive been getting away with a a6500 which is lighter and not as cumbersome but the c100 really has it where it counts.
@FilmJams5 жыл бұрын
Francisco Silva oh nice! Yeah it is a bit distracting. We shot another video after that one and got the settings better with the same setup. I do the same most time wise an A73 or EOS R on the Ronin, But yes the C100 and C200 are so nice! Have you checked out the Steadicam Aero? We have the 30 version. But they have a smaller Aero 15 that’s pretty good price and works really well with C100 and C200.

Very helpful video for the Ronin S on a Canon C200. Great job! One Question, will the set up steps also accommodate the Ronin SC unit?
@FilmJams3 жыл бұрын
Thanks glad it was helpful! The SC holds 6.6lb so just be careful with pushing the weight limit.
@TwiniTinc3 жыл бұрын
Love the setup and also the thorough tutorial. Had a quick question. How long would you say a average person could maintain that shoot with the weight of the C200? Does the Ronin disperse the weight to allow longer times to take footage? Thanks for your response in advance.
@FilmJams3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for checking out the video. We were doing 5-10 minute takes and then taking a little breather in between. If you’re doing something longer I highly recommend the Glide Gear vest. You can roll w the Ronin on that for hours at a time. We have a video on it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ap3IfH5-jKuph8k

@@FilmJams I figured it out. It was the tilt axis which I had to flip over completely so the camera could point up vertically and be calibrated that way. That did the trick

Nice! The S1H a fun little camera. Wish it was a little cheaper. Basically the same cost as a C200B kit now ($3999 vs $3997)! And with C200 you get NDs, full size XLR, dual record, better autofocus, internal RAW recording, and a more Pro body with SDI and HDMi.
