Fun fact from the podcast-- When they filmed the scene's in Ricky's neighborhood in Philly, all of the Christmas decorations were not put up by the film crew, but were in fact put up by the Philly locals. It was also in July. So not only did they say yes to allowing the show to film on their street, but they all offered on their own to decorate their street with Christmas decorations in the middle of the summer just to be a part of the show. That's the City of Brotherly Love right there

Fun facts: Christopher Lloyd played one of the santas running a train on Charlie’s Mom and David Huddleston played Santa in the 1985 cult classic “Santa Claus: The Movie”

I truly do love the odd Sunny episode that ends in a bonding,wholesome moment between the gang. That flashback to Mac and Charlie throwing rocks at trains in order to cope with the shitty life they were dealt is honestly so bittersweet. The Santa flashback is everything to me. The fact that you can see the "santas" getting progressively lazier with their costumes,until it's just some guy in a red scarf is crazy LMAOOO. One of them is just Christopher Lloyd in a beard! I like how it also show how Charlie got addicted to glue,by having it be a part of a gift that he had no idea what to do with,nor any parental guidance around.

Oh little fact.. the house they show of Mac’s mom, is the house that Rob McElhenney grew up in In Philly. Not sure about these inside scenes. But yea like the one where Dennis goes up to Mac’s mom to hit on her when she’s sitting on the porch, that’s Rob’s actual childhood home.

Ricky is played by Pablo Schreiber, half-brother of Liev Schreiber, who has been in a number of things but perhaps most notably Orange Is The New Black and American Gods. He was also recently in the Halo series.

The actor playing Ricky is Pablo Schreiber who currently plays Master Chief, so it was an interesting coincidence that Halo Wars made an appearance as well!

@@Alex-dh2cx Honestly? Same here! I know the kinda awful history of them but still, I love those cars and I'm always happy to see one on the roads. I have wanted to do like, a cyberpunk style restomod on a Fiero GT for a while now. Like kinda modernize it, with interior work and a screen and put a new engine in it. Something like a turbo 4 banger from some Toyota or Honda. Who knows maybe the stars will align one day and I'll find one for a reasonable price, anyway have a good one!

And there's a bunch of cool small cars from the 80s that would be awesome for that, an 80s trans am, an AMC Eagle of you could find one, a couple buicks as well. The 80s was full of really cool cars. I didn't appreciate them when i was younger, wish i had because they're not common anymore

Pretty much yeah. It was actually filmed and released specifically for the season 5 DVD (hence more swearing and blood), and then they did end up airing it too, after season 6. So it actually was released before season 6, but it didn't AIR until after, and streaming services go by airdate I guess.

This episode did not air, but was released on DVD separately (excuse for R-rating, and more money for the studio in the end, I suppose). It's always included in Season 6 reactions, but it was its own in-between Special.
