Longest continually running live action one at least. Some animated ones have gone on longer and Curb Your Enthusiasm has been on and off since 2000, with a new season due this year. Especially impressive as Always Sunny has a pretty low episode count compared to the vast majority of sitcoms. Only about 170 compared to most big sitcoms which have around 250 with fewer seasons.

This 1st banned episode would be fine at the end of season 4 but it wouldn't be a good idea to watch the rest. The next one after season 4 episode 3 is the second half of an unlabelled 2 parter which might get confusing, the next one after that is all call backs some of which you haven't seen, and the last 2 has various call backs to things you haven't seen. I would wait till they pop up. At the very least get some to give you the episodes before hand or buy them on youtube for about 2 dollars. The last one might be the hardest to find. Great reaction as always! In case you're wondering, you can absolutely put the banned episodes on KZbin. Many other reactors have already. Just like in every other episode, these are horrible people who think it's appropriate to do certain things that perhaps would be frowned upon in real life (no spoilers). These episodes should not be banned for any reason whatsoever and plus they are kind of essential for many plotlines and jokes in the future. I hope you get a chance to do them in episode order if you can. Cheers!

I really love that they guys managed to carry an entire episode on their own without either Dee nor Frank,really cements how well written and acted the show has become by this point,given that 3 dudes in a room can be this endlessly entertaining! Also, the allegations against Mac's dubious sexuality just keep piling up LMAO Fun fact: the doorway that Dennis was supposed to hang from ended up being too tall to look natural,but they decided to keep doing that bit,since seeing Glenn struggle to reach it made the scene all the funnier! The episode before this has a lot of iconic moments,and is also related to youtube,so I'm glad you'll end up watching that too! The reasons for its ban are completely baffling too.

With the "banned" ones, dont go too long without seeing them. There will be references and one is a part of a pair so it would be odd to break that up. They were never banned on TV they were only taken down after the murder of George Floyd. As far as I understand, Tina Fey asked episodes of her show that had black face jokes be taken down and the platforms decided to do that with other shows as well that make jokes in a similar vein. So these arent episodes that were hard to find until very recently. So characters and references to them are throughout the show such as episode 4.3 introducing a new side character.

Regardless if there's blackface, there's zero good reason to ban the episodes. When an episode from a show goes from being funny to being "insensitive" and "racist" within 10 years, then there's something wrong with that mentality, not the show itself.

Watching all the banned episodes at once would be a bad idea IMO because It's Always Sunny still sorta runs on continuity and one of those specific episodes is about callbacks and another directly follows a cliffhang of a previous episode. None of the content in them would really get them removed from KZbin, the one common factor is black/brownface and clips of them have been uploaded to youtube no problem.

@@TheRealAhoy Of the five banned episodes, only the first can really be watched after season 4 like he intends. But watching "Shaping America's Youth" doesn't work. "The Gang Recycles Their Trash"s whole premise relies on previous episodes. "The Gang makes Lethal Weapon 6"s follows up an element from Shaping American's Youth" and "Dee Day' references a plot point from "The Gang Gets a New Member" Other reactors watched them in order and they were fine. The only reason they got banned was because of streaming services virtue signaling following George Floyd as if that actually helped. KZbin is actually one of the few places where you can buy the episodes legally, especially Dee Day.

Definitely watch the banned episodes. A lot of others who've watched the show on KZbin have made it a point to include them. A good note is that while the gang does terrible things, the show makes it a point to NOT be like the gang! The creators want you to know that what the gang does is wrong! Hell, the movie "Aliens" did a messed up thing and it's still on most streaming site's

The only reason why some episodes are banned is PC BS. It's like banning Blazing Saddles. Some folks don't understand that the jokes aren't racist. Racism is the joke. Both entities are making fun of the ignorance that breeds racism. But it's hard to make fun of if you can't give examples of what it is. Despite how crazy this show is, they never come across as mean spirited with the comedy. They're never hateful. In fact, they're actually pretty respectful about showing fairness about big issues. They're simply illustrating how ridiculous people get about things. Once you see the episodes you'll be, "Why was that banned? People are crazy." It's almost like the network is proving their point of how ridiculous people get.
