Hard question. the Inquisitor and Imperial Agent story are great.. Companions, Khem Val = because he whants to eat everyone, Vette because shes a squirly thief, Ashara Zavros = because if your a light side Inquisitors her dialoges are awesome and i love her voice, Jesa Willsam = because shes damn scary when you play evil Sith Warrior, SCORPIO = because who dosnt love "evil" AI Droid girls... but best of em all HK-51 = hes not HK-47... but close enough. (also german voices ofc)

There's a ton of solid candidates, but I gotta go with Satele Shan (the Jedi with the double-bladed lightsaber from the first SW:TOR cinematic you watched) - she's the descendent of Bastila Shan from the original Knights of the Old Republic RPG.

One note it's not that he was more powerful than his brother. He was overcome with anger and rage that he was willing to kill his brother whereas his brother was just trying to do what he'd always done and reign him in.

If you watch very closely, you can always see the brother in black constantly looking at his brother in white as if to check up on him

Also love how the one in black embraces the light side and the one in white embraces the dark side. Even tho they both lean towards different sides, their love for each other always makes them look to the other side. I just love that contrast so much, as someone who always enjoyed playing a dark side Jedi and light side Sith.

The twins are named Thexan (black) and Arcann (white), sons of the Emperor Valkorion of the Eternal Empire, and his wife Senya Tirall. They also have a younger sister, Vaylin, whom you'll meet later. Valkorion is in fact the Sith Emperor Vitiate, who went looking beyond the Outer Rim in what is known as Wild Space for the Eternal Fleet , a fleet of powerful warships operated by sentient droids. He found the planet Zakuul instead, where superstitious humans lived who worshiped the Old Gods, and set himself up as their Emperor with the name change. He had his specialized Force-users named the Knights of Zakuul use the Force to locate the Eternal Fleet through visions, and eventually managed to enslave the droids to his command. He sent his twin sons out to test the strength of both the Galactic Republic and the newly reformed Sith Empire (the two flags they brought back to Valkorion to show they had defeated each one), and was only willing to fully acknowledge one of his sons, Arcann, after he embraced the Dark Side and slew his brother in a fit of rage (remember Valkorion is really a Sith so he values those who go down the Dark path, and was dismissive of Thexan for his Light-side leanings). This is why their lightsabers are yellow as well, they're not aligned with either the Sith or the Jedi. And no, that is not Talon, that is Darth Atroxa, another Lethan Twi'lek Sith Lord.

But a Force User who is basically just a spirit, especially one who absorbed the Force energy of an entire planet of Sith and their subjugated masses into himself, can do so without having an issues that normally come with divided attention. Because I believe he found Zakuul while the Sith were in exile after Naga Sadow's defeat, where he was still actively leading them. He only pulled back on leading them a little after Revan's capture at the betrayal of Lord Scourge, after Revan himself was redeemed.

As the white brother leaps at his father in slow motion, you can see the father very subtly start to smirk. And that tiny little smirk, so so small, makes this character (the father) so much more evil. Just oozing with it. It is those little details that just make my heart flutter when watching these... take note Disney, this is how it's done.

I love how they show Arcann's white uniform becoming more and more tarnished as his connection to Force leans more and more towards the darkside while his brother's black uniform remains clean and untarnished as his connection to the Light.

One the best game cinematics of all time. The voice actor for Valkorian, Darin De Paul, really made the arc of SWOTOR so good. All the mind games and the doubt he sells with his voice acting. But yeah, I would pay money to see this story fleshed out into a full motion or cgi movie. Also, their stance within the Force was very interesting. They are not Jedi or Sith. The game goes into that part of history. SWOTOR did so much more world building than the recent movies.

Watch the childs' gazes. The one in black is always watching his brother while the one in white is always looking to the father. That and the bond of their hands. Those two things tell the entire story.

This one is such a complete and visceral story. The unbreakable bond of brotherhood torn apart by the anger and rage of a son yearning for approval and finally breaking from the neglect. And I love the visual storytelling of having the one in white break; we so often associate lightness with good, but it turns the trope on its head, showing how the dark is capable of love, and the light is capable of succumbing to hatred. Even though we praise Thexan's (in black) honor and restraint, we can empathize with Arcann's (in white) hurt. He only wants approval and love from his father, and the twisted part is he gets it in the end by killing his brother.

So good... just before the two brothers fight each other they show how ruthless they both are. Killing both Jedi and Sith. Anyone in their path is torn to bits. But when the one brother cuts the other in half, despite just being shown how evil they are, you really feel so bad for them both. It's crazy the emotional connection I have at that moment when I consider that just a moment ago I was thinking about how they are so evil that they must be stopped.

Spoilers: Valkorian, easily created the best schism possible for ambition. His sole purpose with his children was to ensure one of them reached the apex of their power, but the son that survived, was damaged and fell to the dark in a manner that made him worthless to valkorian thus picking the outlander in the story instead. The thing is, Valkorian originally wasn't like this, he was his own person but with Vitiate manipulating him. Once his children was born, vitiate took over and what was left of the real valkorian was dead or so heavily supressed that it no longer mattered that he existed at all, this is why his wife referred to him as distant and thats why he treated his children this way. He needed someone elses body to take, and nothing is more potent than two extremely powerful force users having a child. The perfect host. He sought to be a god, but was running out of time in the bodies he used.

The Rule of Two was implemented by Darth Bane around 1000 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin, essentially Star Wars B.C.), and the events of The Old Republic game take place around 3600 BBY, long before Darth Bane's recognition that having so many Sith fighting amongst themselves had led to their downfall.

One thing I notice with this is their dad (who is The Emperor) always has his back turned to them, this is obviously to emphasize that he disapproves of them, but the first time he looks upon either of them is right at the end. What the lore of this is iirc (I didnt play this expansion but I loosely know the lore). The Emperor of the Sith Empire was killed by a jedi knight and so the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic reentered a state of cold war. Unknown to either side the Emperor's body was killed but his soul moved over to a new body (the bearded guy in this) and he built up a new power base, a third faction basically. He then launched a war on the galaxy where as you see in this he sent his twin sons to destroy the Empire and the Republic to clear the way for him to rule the entire galaxy.

A reaction video with actual insights and commentary on what is or could be implied by the scenes in the video. Good stuff. One thing of visual story telling you missed though: Right at the end, when the father (Valkorion/Vitiate) looks down on his remaining son, his eyes are glowing. A really cool cue, to highlight, that he has been a force-user of the dark side all along.

(Probably wouldn't have the proper rank anyways) Regardless, because BOY are you getting misled by some of the people in this chat with their lack of knowledge. Alright, so first of all: That is in fact NOT Darth Talon. Darth Talon won't be born until almost 4000 years after this. The red Twi'Lek Sith we see is Darth Atroxa. Secondly: Important to note, the Rule of two was established around a thousand years before the events of the mainline movies. This trailer takes place 3000-4000 years before the movies, so there are HUNDREDS of Sith AND Jedi. Thirdly: The villain, "Vitiate" (Who also has several other names and bodies, including "Valkorion", "Tenebrae" and "Darth Vitiate") He is basically this time period's version of Palpatine. Fourthly: Vitiate here is in charge of the Eternal Empire, he sent out his two sons, Arcann and Thexan, to finally emerge out of the shadows to test the mettle of the two Waring galactic super-powers; The Galactic Republic and Vitiate's previous empire, the Reconstituted Sith Empire. Short to say, it's a success, and won't you believe it, not long after, the Eternal Empire launches it's full scale campaign and beats the war-torn and exhausted Republic and Sith in a few MONTHS! Putting Zakuul as the capital of the galaxy, at least as long as the Eternal Empire's iron grip is holding, that is.

For context, Valkorion (the old guy) is the ruler of the Eternal Empire which is neither part of the Galactic Republic nor the Sith Empire and its purpose was to take over the Galaxy. The two twins are his sons. They are not Sith or Jedi. Bioware needed more reasons to unite the Republic and the Empire so they had to make a single story for every class instead of another 8 separate stories for each class. NTW, the Twi'lek isn't Darth Talon. She's just a random Sith killed bu the two brothers. Talon will be born in about 3700 years after the event of The Old Republic.

What you missed is that the black figure was probably more powerful until the white lost his arm and got into rage. The black was handing his hand and saving his little brother when they were kids and the black didnt get injured because he was more powerful

This is my favorite representation of the Dark Side, because it shows how it realy is like a drug that clouds your judgement and makes you a slave to emotion. Its like a form of posession. It doesnt excuse him, but it does shed a light on Anakin's actions while under the influence. The greatest trap of the dark side is the lie that it can be controlled, used for good, or neutral. Grey Jedi are a great example of those who believe this trap. Its really not possible, but fans who think sith are cool are like, "i can be a good sith"😑

Well the point you make about Sith having a bad deal by getting an apprentice, imo, most of the times I think it's their arrogance that they are the most powerful beings and can't be beaten and they always keep some secrets in their training, not giving their full knoledge to their apprentice, so I believe that it's a case of "this won't happen to me" attitude 😆 Also, yes the story plays out, I played the full story in game and it's amazing (while a lot of people may argue because it has many cinematics, but in my case that's a plus) and you really are in the drivers seat, making choices that change the path of the story. An amazing experience overall.

Not that important really, but no that's not Darth Talon. Talon is after the movie era whereas this is about 3000 years before the movies. She is the same race/coloration and obviously inspired by talon, but just a random I think unnamed sith. I think lore-wise red twileks like that are meant to be pretty rare Funny enough my first character in swtor looked pretty similar I went with the same red twilek sith color scheme cause it's cool (and hot lets be real lol) before Togruta came out later (Ahsoka and Shaak-Ti's race) and I changed the character to a purple one of those with a matching purple saber and purple lightning ofc

The one in black is objectively the better fighter and more skilled and more in control of his feelings. The one in white is not as good of a warrior, but is more prone to anger, so is the better dark side candidate. What great story telling without any of that being said out loud.

This is Valkorion, the Emperor of the Sith, in excile. He left the known regions, and got to Zakuul, to reinvent his empire. Here he got a wife, and three children. Two of them were these twins, and a sister. You will get to know her soon. He is the Sith Emperor reincarnated. This time he is at war with both the Sith Empire, and the Republic. And he is a powerful adversary... By the way, you can say, that this is a third faction...

He was not exiled, Valkorion was another vessel of Tenebrae and the Eternal Empire was the plan B. You can't achieve all of that in about a year since Vitiate was killed. In fact, Valkorion lived for centuries before the events of the game.

I have played this game since the beginning here and there. I can only take so much of it before it becomes repetitive. That being said. The Cinematics in SWTOR have always been absolutely outstanding and well done. I do love the story behind this gaming Galaxy. The Twi'lek Sith character you see here is just kind of an extra, not a real character within the game. This Cinematic is just there to show you how The Eternal Empire came out of nowhere and began to decimate the known Galaxy all at the same time. Neither side had much of a chance to react or mobilize. The flags and lightsabers you see the brother present to their father are from both The Republic and The Sith Empire. Emperor Valkorian (In my opinion) is far more devious and more powerful than Sidious.... I know that can open up a huge debate but it's just my opinion. If you think Thexan and Arcann are cool, wait until you see their little sister Vaylin.

The actual in-game story wasn't as good, but mostly because it was built around player and his experience of the story, rather than actually telling a good story. I am sure that if they were tasked to make an actual movie out of this, it would easily be one of the best and most popular Star Wars projects to date.

Hey, love your content, but it's a bit sad that you don't know SWTOR lore that well. The fact that you don't recognize the Empire and Republic flags XD. Vitiate is not only the Emperor of Zakuul and the father of these two; he was also the Emperor of the Sith Empire. Zakuul's knights are not Jedi or Sith. It's not exclusive to Sith or Jedi to use the light or dark side. You should check out the next parts with their mother and sister.
