18:30 I've read that predator eyes dilate when they're about to attack, increases visual accuity or something along those lines. Cat's do this, supposedly canines and other predators as well, though I can't confirm as I've never had the poor fortune of being attacked by them.

@@kaizammit Yep, in-game you can buy houses wherein you can not just store your things, but you can decorate it to your hearts content, and I mean, you can DECORATE it. The house decoration interface is EXTREMELY deep, you can do SO much with it, and there are thousands of different build pieces ingame. ZOS capitalized on this with the Crown store, which is the real money shop, where you can buy only cosmetics, including different housing items. Spooktober is coming up so I'm sure they'll have rotated in a BUNCH of vampiric and witchy housing pieces again, along with weapon styles, mounts, all kinds of things that can make your house unique and stylish. The housing interface is so good, I watched a big streamer decide to turn the entrance portal to the Lakemire Xanmeer Mansion (which has a water portal form the surface to under the lake where the house is) into a butthole, complete with spread cheeks and fingers holding them apart. She used various sized rocks that were build pieces to do it, and the result was hilarious. Now her visitors get pooped into her house LOL. Another decided to use build pieces to construct a pleasure barge in the bay of a really big house he had. The amount of customization in this game is unbelievable, and I use that word accurately. It's seriously tremendous. That's how they get so many people to keep playing, it's addictive to get your house juuuuuust right, and then move on to the next one lol

So when ESO launched the story was all about the three major factions being at war, and which race you picked locked you into a faction Since then theres been expansions that have let players from the other factions work together, which is why you see these characters work together in future trailers. They are supposed to represent the players

I have a khajiit bowgank Nightblade name Rashka the Slayer, dropping squishies in battlegrounds with poison arrows from stealth, and then ninja vanishing and running away to do it somewhere else is so satisfying. With the mythic Ring of the Wild Hunt I sprint as fast as people on mounts :P

In the base game, the Three Banners War is the main focus of the questline. The province of Cyrodiil in the center of the continent of Tamriel has no Emperor. The Empire is in shambles, with a supremely aggressive and unpopular regent on the throne, who sends unprovoked attacks against the alliances, and the surrounding provinces have decided they want the power held within the White-Gold Tower (that 'peaceful village' you saw) for themselves and to install their OWN Emperor on the Ruby Throne. The three Alliances are: The Ebonheart Pact - personified by the BIG Nord dude at the beginning, they're made up of the Nords (Vikings) of Skyrim, the Dark Elves (Dunmer) of Morrwind, and the Argonians (lizardmen) of Black Marsh. More an alliance of convenience rather than true trust, partially because the Dunmer are assholes and used to enslave the Argonians when they could, and fought with the Nords in border wars. The Aldmeri Dominion - the Elf chick with the magic is their representative in this vid, comprising the High Elves (Altmer) of the Summerset Isles, the Wood Elves (Bosmer) of Valenwood, and the Khajiit (cat people) of Elsweyr. The Altmer are VERY racist, seeing themselves as superior, but recognize that they can't take Cyrodiil on their own. The Bosmer are also unique in fantasy, in that they adhere to the Green Pact, where they have sworn to the living forest to eat no plant. They're strictly carnivorous, and even cannibalistic at times. The Daggerfall Covenant - shown in this vid by the Breton rogue-type, they are a coalition of Bretons (half-elves), Redguards (strong human fighters), and Orcs (Orsimer). The Orcs have been outcasts from all societies forever, but have been granted independence from the province of High Rock in their homeland of Wrothgar, in exchange for their aid in the War. Bretons are like humans, but their elf blood gives them better magic abilities and resistance than others. This cinematic and the subsequent ones for the base game are essentially a showcase of the players in the Three Banners War, and the additional storyline involving the Daedric (demonic) invasion of our world (called Nirn) by the Daedric Prince known as Molag Bal, the Lord of Domination. That's what the big sky portals anchoring themselves to the ground are, leading from his monstrous realm of Coldharbour into Nirn, to invade and enslave it. So not only do we have to fight this Daedric asshole, we have to fight each other too :P ZOS got TOP tier voice actors for the game too (and all quest dialogue is fully voice acted too. All of it.). Kate Beckinsale as Queen Ayrenn of the Aldmeri, Peter Stormare as Jorunn, the Skald-King of Eastern Skyrim, and Bill Nighy as King Emeric of High Rock. Michael Gambon voices The Prophet, Malcolm McDowell is Molag Bal, Alfred Molina is the brother of the empress regent, Imperial Battlemage Abnur Tharn. Jennifer Hale voices Lyris Titanborn, John Cleese is the lovable but mad dead rogue Cadwell, the list goes on and on, it's insane how good the voice cast is.

@kaizammit To be fair, it has a lot of good points. Great graphics, sound, and level design are let down by a team that insists on meddling with classes and gear infuriating a lot of the players. The way they buff a class or item to sell an expansion, then heavily nerf them after feels highly duplicitous to me. The game will suck you in, and there is a lot to do in it. It can happily be played for free without going for the monthly subs. If you like designing and building your own home (I don't), there is a robust and extensive choice of items and structures. Most of the game I find too easy, but that is highly subjective and not necessarily a bad thing, depending on why you are playing the game. The trailer is a highly idealised version of the game and somewhat unrealistic regarding expectations, but that seems a common thing nowadays.
