So BTS WEEK was actually last fall when they were still promoting Dynamite. This is from this summer, shortly after Butter came out. BTS WEEK had so many amazing performances though!!

Yeah, the day before this performance was the first live performance of Permission to Dance. They had already done several performances of Butter at that point, starting with the BBMA, so this one was a lot more relaxed in a way. For BTS week last year they did Home, Idol, Mikrokosmos, Dynamite and Black Swan. Definitely worth checking those out. I think Home was the most interesting video-wise, but Dynamite was very cool as well, and the others are in really beautiful sets.

Actually, the "BTS week" (in which they performed HOME) was last year, and they did performances of IDOL, Black Swan, Mikrokosmos and Dynamite as well (hoping you react to them too btw haha). For this Butter performance, they were special guests for two days and did a Permission to Dance performance as well. The very first time they performed this song was on the Billboard Music Awards back in May! You should check it out, and the one on the Stephen Colbert show too! ✨ Thanks for the reaction!

SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS starting from how out of nowhere jimin was just walking and you went ""yup thats my favorite "" also, it has been such a journey watching you slowly just grow apretiation for them, from tinny giggles or laughs at their antics to just starting to get intrigued by their dance? (wich, completely random you could watch emeroy bernardo and his analysis to the dances if you ever feel extra curious) and lastly that butter performance wasnt part of the bts week but if you wanna check those perfomrances please please watch the one from blue & gray, its the most visual focused you will definetly love it

I suggest or maybe strongly suggest if you love the use of lights in a live performance of BTS that you watch BTS MAMA 2019 performance were they perform live DIONYSUS. MAMA is an Asian Award show were just one of the guests performers and turned the show into a BTS Mini concert. DIONYSUS was just one othe numbers they performed if you wanna watch the full performance of BTS. It has become a must watch live perfomance of BTS.

Their first “Butter” live performance was at the Billboard Music Awards. It looks sort of like a second MV because even though they are singing live, there is a post production process. Same as “Dynamite” at the Grammys. Both are pretty cool👍🏻

Jimmy Fallon's BTS Week was in 2020, with 5 songs: Home Idol Black Swan Dynamite Mikrokosmos Butter was on Jimmy Fallon in 2021,and was part of their promo for the song. So it wasn't on a BTS week. They don't have a behind the scenes for this one yet, but they have it for all 5 of the songs for the Jimmy Fallon week.

Hi! Dancer here :) You said you wanted to get more into the dancing side of things, so just wanted to let you know that “stagger” or “staggering” refers to the formation. It is when you have two or more lines, and the dancers are not lined up right behind each other, but are in between the two in front of them. There’s not really a word for what you were saying at 5:06 , we’d just call it adding a section of people to the choreo at different times! Random dance term: Something similar to that would be a “ripple”, where everyone does the same move but slightly after the person before them. Like the wave at a sports game :)

fun fact : the bridge they performed at wasn't opened to the public yet at that time and bts got permission from the government (i think) to perform there. it's open to the public now!

You like their choreography formations. They are famous for those formations then fast transitions into other formations. No one else does choreography like BTS!!!

I think BTS is the first one to use the bridge, because at that time it was still closed for Public Use. Also South Koreans had took videos from afar but they respected BTS and they did not posted it yet until it was officially on KZbin. I mean, the privilege you get as someone who lives in S.Korea and BTS is filming tons of performances in different tourist locations.

The boys performed on the "World Cup Bridge" in Seoul. It's the 31st bridge too cross the Han River. The opening sequence of Hobi's "Airplane" video was also highlighted some of the Han River's many bridges.

I knew you would like the stage direction and performance direction of their live stuff. The staff that support them never go halfway. There was a really good double performance of life goes on and dynamite for the late late show with James cordon where they did some awesome cyclical editing and rented some ridiculousness and did a crazy build. It was during the lockdown and I’m sure when BTS sent that performance in to the late late show people they were like ‘well, that’s pretty nice... Wait, what?’ I, too, don’t know any of the words for talking about dancing, but I get what you’re saying those parts where the dance moves like cascade from the center out until they all are doing it are awesome.

The bridge is the World Cup Bridge which has been under construction for 11 years and is due to open at the end of the year. It was a great site for this shoot. As you say the lighting was brilliant but then BTS light up anywhere they go. I’m not surprised that you liked Jimin in this, that outfit was pretty amazing.j

Actually the BTS week thing on the tonight show was way before Butter if I remember well, it was like a year a ago almost, around Dynamite era. BTS week consists of Home, Idol, Black Swan, Mikrokosmos and Dynamite performances This Butter performance was released a month ago :)

butter is not part of bts week on fallon, because bts week took place in 2020, they performed 2 versions of dynamite, black swan, mikrokosmos, idol and home. you should definitely react to the whole week if you got the time, the performances are all top tiers, especially the set design for black swan and the camera work and lighting in idol

It's the world cup bridge that crosses the han river..it was not open to public when bts performed (it's open now though) so they rented a whole bridge just for there performance..i say budget and money 😌😂
