"They did all this for the MV and then just told Steve to go to the LA studio" Dude yes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Btw, they filmed this and the Japanese version at the same time, so they did some scenes twice, one lip syncing the Korean/English version and other lip syncing for the Japanese version 😵🤯 (sometimes with different outfits)

A lot of their songs have japanese versions to their music videos! Some are filmed while filming their korean mv so the japanese version pretty much similar to their korean one. But some of the mvs to the japanese versions of their songs are a whole different and new music video.

Honestly, it makes it easier for people who are listening to the reactions, it makes it more accessible, we get a better understanding of what you are catching in the video... Probably someone said not to read subtitles during a music video and he for some reason thought that also applied to behind the scenes videos. Which would be a kind of dumb thing to think because they're two totally different things. His area of expertise is filmmaking so during music videos he shouldn't let himself get distracted by lyrics, but during behind the scenes videos there's no reason not to read subtitles.

BTW, BTS changing the lyrics to Mic Drop - there is the original Korean version, a Japanese version for their Japanese album, the Steve Aoki and Designer version with Korean/English lyrics targeted for their international audience, a Steve Aoki mix with Korean lyrics for an awards show performance and their concert performance mix for the Love Yourself/Speak Yourself tours. I mean, when you have a hit, right!

They were shooting the Korean, Japanese and English version all at once, so if you can't recall some of the scenes, it's most likely an scene from the Japanese version.

I love that you read what they say! That’s actually part of the appeal for me. I have a medical condition that is causing my eye muscles to weaken and I’m going to eventually have surgery to fix it. But for now, I’m not able to focus my eyes well enough to read the small words on the screen, so when you don’t read them, I don’t know what they’re saying. I hope you go back to reading what they say! Even if you don’t, I still like hearing what you have to say about the videos. I find it really interesting.

Jin and JHope are the two who startle easily, so it's definitely a challenge for them not to freak out. In Blood Sweat and Tears video; Jin in the scene with the room imploding and JHope with the chair in the water feature in front of statue when they shot the water up into the air, made me so proud of their professionalism and dedication to their craft.😍

You can read all the subtitles as much as you want, just take your time reading and reacting... You can also read and digest lyrics on the mvs to interpret them well if you want... Like you'll know why there's a lot of mic and cameras in there if you read the lyrics... Anyhow, you always make your content lively with your reactions... Thanks for the great explanation! A few questions you wondered about - There are several Mic Drop remixes: the Original song, Desiigner remix, Steve Aoki remix, and a Japanese version, at least. English - yes, the Steve Aoki remix is mostly in English! You probably just didn't notice because you were expecting Korean; follow along with the English subs - most of the song until just before the end is English starting with the "Did you see my bag? Did you see my bag?" line. And about Obama - when he finished his last speech as president with "Obama out" and dropped his mic. Was so funny! RM says he was inspired by it. I think i see what they did for the scene with Suga rapping and Jungkook and Jimin getting pulled off the table and why they did it with all three of there at the same time. I think they filmed it with all three of them in high speed but real time. Like let's say 60fps. Then they double up the video layers, mask around Suga and have his layer play in real speed converted to 24fps/30fps and then JK and Jimin's layer ramps down to slow-mo when they get pulled off. Wires get erased and then the 3D debris elements are added to kind of add some atmosphere and help the shot feel like one again. The way this shot is set up with the three of them not interacting with each other or any background elements, it saves them having to film it twice (one with just Suga in real time 24fps and a second time with Jimin and Jungkook at high speed 60fps).
