Suga’s “Agust D” video isn’t really centered around crazy visuals it’s mainly a track of him showing off his amazing rapping skills, dissing haters, and his debut as a solo artist. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great video I just want to u to know it’s definitely not anything like this one, a totally different vibe. This “interlude” music video is very high quality, amazing visuals, etc and “Agust D” is also amazing but idk if u would necessarily like it that much since it’s mainly centered around lyrics and the overall message than the actual mv itself.

YES EXACTLY!! I think it would be so much better if we recommend mvs that are visually pleasing so that he can talk about it more since he's informed in it. Instead of recommending mvs like Mic Drop which is entirely dance sequences,, I think solo mvs will do justice for now. Next rec: Singularity by V.

I think that even though "Agust D" doesn't have some fascinating symbolism or other visuals, it still can be interesting in terms of how they use lights (all that flickering effect), jumpy camera movements to create the feeling of being trapped and struggling etc. So please don't dismiss it

It was just to point out that it’s very different and I said that it’s an amazing video and song so I’m having trouble seeing what your problem is. The red thing and the door behind yoongi is referencing to an art piece made by artist Anish Kapoor called svayambhu The brick of wax tries crossing the doorway but since it's too big it can't cross all so it deposits some of itself on the doors It's like saying he loses a bit of himself with everything he goes through The more he goes the more he loses parts of himself

the shadow isn't literal, its a metaphor. the shadow is a hidden part of ourselves so the multiple mirrors represent multiple parts of himself

I love your reactions! 8:01 is referencing the whole shadow concept (taken from famous physiatrist Carl Jung) which is that the "shadow" exists as part of the unconscious mind and is composed of repressed ideas, weaknesses, desires, instincts, and shortcomings. So that scene was when he punched the camera and the glass cracked and he stands there rapping. Also, the red thing on the wall is a reference to Anish Kapoor's Svayambh. "Svayambh is a Sanskrit word meaning 'something that is created out of itself'. So the block of wax squeezes through the door frame and leaves some of itself behind. It could represent how the members are losing a bit of themselves as they go through everything as celebrities." - explained by xCeleste. You should look the book up, you'll see the resemblance!

Map of the Soul 7, which is the album this song is in is heavily inspired by art as the album is essentially about their relationship with their own art (their music). The corridor scene with the red is inspired by Anish Kapoor’s Svayambh art installation. There are other art references present like the scene where the hands are beneath his feet, but I can’t recall the artists names.

AgustD is the other screen name for Min Yoongi. For his BTS work, he’s Suga. I think you watched Daechwita. That was AgustD. AgustD is a rapper persona, who sometimes has more adult lyrics. I believe that work is separated because, members of BTS only make money from work they do together. Each of them has produced solo compositions, and those get uploaded to Soundcloud or Bangtan on youtube. (speculation: AgustD might exist so he can create albums for sale and make accompanying videos.)

Something I think you should react to is some of Jungkooks ( Bts member ) G.C.F or golden closet films. The video is all took by Jungkook himself, he has made a couple of them and also Taehyung has also made his own video called Winter bear, and I think you will really like it. Considering these videos are raw there is no specit effects and they are really pretty and they look so appesing. They worked really hard to make these videos.

Suga's Agust D and Give It To Me MV's are kind of a matched set. They were filmed back-to-back and use the same trailer. In the first one, he starts out inside the trailer, and then climbs out the window and on top of it while it drives away. In the second one, the trailer has flipped over on its side, and he climbs out of the back door into what looks like the aftermath of a car crash. The whole thing has a very bad-ass vibe and gives the impression that some serious shit went down before and after the cameras started rolling. It's like watching a few minutes in the middle of a mafia movie without any context, if the mafia movie was a musical and the protagonist was spitting mad bars the whole time.

In "Do You" they also use a dolly for a number of scenes. "Do You" is shot all in B&W, and stripped down in comparison to say, "Daechwita". While "Do You" MV is simplistic, "Joke" MV is frenetic.
