They not only filmed on film, they went and dug up the same cameras and mircophones that would have been used in each era, to help give it true-to-time look.

I looked it up, they never shot on film. They used an Arri Alexa for the majority of the shoot. www.google.com.au/amp/s/gadgets.ndtv.com/entertainment/features/wandavision-cinematography-jess-hall-cameras-lenses-episodes-halation-anamorphic-2377345%3famp=1&akamai-rum=off

@@Mark_TDD Interesting I stand corrected. An article I had read discussed the DP hunting down vintage equipment to recreate the look, but it appears that this gear was used as research to create custom lenses, not used for the filming itself. Thanks got the correction.

This episode ended in such a creepie tone I was legit scared of Wanda.
@nk03143 жыл бұрын
Yeah they shot everything as period-accurate as possible. All the same lenses, using practical effects and wires for the magic, the same jump-cuts they would have used and they change the layout of the house every episode to fit the sitcom they're referencing. This one was very like the Brady brunch. They made an episode called marvel disassembled wandavision which shows you all the behind the scenes and how they shot it if you want to watch that after you've finished the series. Loving your reactions and insights.

"She's having twins?" What a twist!!!! The houses, scenery, and the technology for the special effects change with each episode and each episode skips a decade 1950s - I Love Lucy, set in The Dick van Dyke house (early 60s - ILL was in an obvious apartment so that wouldn't work with the rest of the series) and you hardly see the outside of the house except for the tile sequence, practical effects (no cgi). 1960s - Bewitched, set in the Bewitched house, out side shots are shot outside, started in black & white but transitioned to color in 1966 1970s - Brady Bunch, set in something that looks like the Brady House - but not nearly as spot on as the others - probably because they're starting to reference other sitcoms as well, the painted backdrop - unless I'm mistaken (haven't seen any of these shows in years) Brady Bunch was mostly shot on a sound stage and backdrops that close to the house were painted.
@LeChaunce3 жыл бұрын
And the house layout /set is the same in all incarnations, it's just that they redressed and redecorated it to fit the decade.

The commercials represent different moments in her life. Hydra Soak represents when her and Pietro were imprisoned and experimented on by Hydra in the beginning of Age of Ultron. That’s why it says “find the goddess within” cause that was what initially triggered her powers.
@jcl4103 жыл бұрын
The Brady Bunch did a lot of shooting "inside for outside". Their whole back yard was in studio, complete with astroturf. (As a twist, when they made the 90's Brady Bunch movie, they shot outdoors, but still used astroturf as a joke.)

@William Pitcher I remember when colour TV started, me sittingin in front of the TV and shows where presented with "Jetzt in Farbe" (Now in Colour). I was always waiting for the colour to start, but we had a black & white TV and I never understood why it wasn't in colour when Looney Tunes started. The first colour TV my parents bought were in the beginning of the 1980s. My first Colour TV I bought for myself in 1995 and I been living in my own household since 1977. I always had the old small black & white TVs from my family and I really didn't miss the colour.

@@Sol3UK I don't know which is actually sadder. You not understanding soap, or that you thought that reply was clever. Let's not ignore the fact that your initial comment is just wrong with it's assertion. I'd spell out exactly how it's wrong, but I'd rather not leave spoilers for the content creator to accidently read. The short of it is Hydra didn't create her. Then again, you don't understand soap. So why should I expect you to understand TV

James! Do you like samurai stuff? I think you might find this interesting if you haven't seen it: Masaki Kobayashi's Hara-kiri (1962), Kobayashi was a contemporary to Kurosawa and Hara-kiri's lead, Tatsuya Nakadai, is a juggernaut of Japanese stage and screen. If you see it and react, I'll watch it. If not, that's cool too, since it's a good movie and people should see it. Also you might like the live action Rurouni Kenshin movies and the movie Blade of the Immortal, since you're an animeboy. Blade of the Immortal was directed by Takashi Miike, whose movie First Love is something I'd recommend from his newer ones. This has nothing to do with Wandavision. I just like Kobayashi's Hara-kiri.
