I loved the visual podcast. I, too, have a Mamiya C3 with 8cm & 18cm lenses. And i think the 25cm is in my future. I like seeing the camera's as they are being talked about. But I must admit more times than not. I listen to the podcast while I drive to work. Keep up the good work. I would register for the modified twin lens.

I have been using & loving my Mamiyaflex C2 for about 55 years! I also have a Rollei prism modified to fit. It's a heavy, but great kit.

YAY!!!!! A few comments -- where's the facial hair??? I know that the production technicals are different, but I miss the sound effects and Smoove Sailors intro/outro songs! But I love watching the vintage commercials. More, more, more!!!

Hey gang, really enjoyed the video podcast! Perfect length for a rainy morning coffee on the couch. I didn't miss the youtube live chat aspect, it was easier to focus on the "characters". I actually enjoyed the ambience of the last video podcast from Cleveland, with mic cables all over the table, so don't sweat it if you do another one! One piece of feedback: when I'm looking at the "videos" section on the FilmPhotographyProject youtube it's difficult to tell which episode is a video podcast based on the titles and cover images. Thanks again!

As a Mamiya C shooter for decades I'd like to point out that the longest lens is 250mm, not 205mm.

Mike -- you made a comment about trimming the 35mm film for 126 cameras and, not sure why, but I thought -- do you need to hire a mohel???

As an active Mamiya shooter, (220, 330 Pro and F, 645) the KEH prices he quotes are for tired specimens. Clean shooters will be a bit more (understatement). Lens's come in Chrome (older) and Black (newer) Stick to black. The C2/220 is light and bullet proof. It is my favorite to carry compared to the 3 series. The C330 is a tank, auto cocking, etc. and if in clean condition a wonderful piece of machinery. Big thing to watch for is light leaks (expensive to have replaced) and worn gear advance causing frame spacing issues. (220 has no gears - hint hint) Carry on gets - stiff upper lip and keep your stick on the ice.

I checked Ebay for the Mamiya C3 cameras and there are no cameras under $100. Those that are have no lenses. Most are priced at $150 to up to $375 or even more.

Great show, guys! Mike, have you tried the GAF Anscomatic 726? It's a 126 manual focus rangefinder, speeds 1/30 to 1/500, f2.8. It can use batteries for auto exposure but doesn't need them. I've tried it with 35mm/126 backing paper and it worked *OK*, skipped a frame every now and again when advancing. I've yet to try it without the backing paper, maybe that works better. Anyway, worth a look!

love the podcast. Can you develop Super Positive 35mm in a monobath developer?
@FilmPhotographyProject8 ай бұрын
FPP Super Positive is a specialty film. I recommend a traditional developer (like D96, D76 or HC-110). - You can try but we have never attempted. - Mike
@prestonbuffalo94428 ай бұрын
Dont try it. Ill tell you straight out. It does not work. I thought it might just be me, but I’m glad to know it isn’t. Every roll i have tried to develop has come out blank. Moving forward this is good to know. Can’t wait to try the next batch. Thanks!.

Maybe for the Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde film, have one be infrared and the other be orthochromatic.
