As a guy, being rather distant from such a lifestyle as well as the USA, I found this movie to be quite thought provoking. It depicts well the recklessness that comes with still being young, especially in "struggling" family environments, and how simple-mindedness - even when intents are just - can lead to regretable actions that can ruin lifes. On top of that it shines light on subjects of importance that aren't often talked about. Overall I think it is a captivating movie. The leading actress shines, and there isn't much space for anyone to get bored. Some aspects may have been slightly rushed imo, but all in all I just really enjoyed it.

I can't believe I hadn't even _heard_ of this film before the KZbin gods saw fit to show it to me. Bloody _amazing_ performances from the actors, excellent script, nicely shot/edited and the most offbeat "happy ending" ever. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for the upload.

I knew it'd be good from the start, but i didn't expect to be this blown away by it! The story, the acting, especially the lead actress. For a moment there i thought the guy was innocent. Happy the way it all turned out. Incredibly awesome film 10/10.

i absolutely love that this movie is taking seriously SA on a male teen and how hard it is on their mental health too. The sister character was born to be a protective big sis and took that role like a champ. Its good to highlight that its not just girls/women that aren't believed with SA claims. Often boys aren't believed when it comes to them being abused by close family members or religious leaders/sports coaches. People make all kinds of reasons to disbelieve. I also understand that idea of eating your feelings. Then it gets worse for a guy like him being now he gets bullied at school which makes the torment continue and gives the perp another angle to pull him back in to abuse him. It's a vicious cycle.

Loved this. Lead actress was amazing and she looked exactly like another actress and I found out she (Zoey Deutch) is Lea Thompsons daughter. But she’s been acting since a kid and she’s not just a nepo baby as you can see here. She’s been in heavy demand. It’s just crazy how they can make people look so different and you don’t know you’ve watched them numerous times! What a terrific story here too! Enjoyed this a lot!

I'm a fan of "dark" or "black" comedies, so I stopped by to check this one out. I'm glad I did. NOT your standard run-of-the-mill crappy movie formula! Also not your typical dark humor stuff, even though I never tire of those (like "Parents," "Ed And His Dead Mother," or "Barton Fink"). Zoey Deutch really shines here, as does Joey Morgan.

No matter what every story deserves a happy ending and it has it . Gave a smile on my face . And I think I liked it really . Those dudes did what they could as teenagers and it's cute to see Erica's pure heart and Luke falling in love with her ❤. After a breakup I feel good watching this .

Really good movie. The two main characters gave stellar performances. Very good acting. Kept my interest all the way through. FYI: Erica was played by Zoey Deutch and Joey Morgan played as Luke Sherman. Joey Morgan died, according to IMDB November 21, 2021. Sad, kid had a lot of potential. IMDB would not disclose what Joey Morgan died from.

Great movie. It says it's a dark comedy. It has its funny moments, but I wouldn't call it any kind of comedy. Adam Scott doesn't even say or do anything funny. But, it's a great movie, with a great ending. RIP Joey Morgan.

Oh, I think it's beautiful they do end up a devoted, deeply in love character, but I wasn't expecting that, and I suppose "plausible" thinking after watching the whole thing, but I'd say implausible, and that's part of what makes the movie, plot and the characters so interesting.
