This is neither here nor there but I notice with the end credits at the Manhattan Heliport you see Marlo standing there at the end in a long shot . If you look very carefully she starts waving. It strikes me that she's waving at us across the years.

At the beginning of this episode Ann's wearing the same outfit that she wore at the end of episode 16. Love the outfit and the humor!

You should watch "Watch it for days" an assessment of Colombo, funny lady and points out statuary and pictures that are used over and over.

The film, 'Moscow on the Hudson', came out years later, with the brilliant and dearly missed Robin Williams. Similar plot points to this episode of T.G. Even used the same tag line, "what a country!"

It’s same with the eyeglasses they’re wearing now. I wore them in high school in the ‘60’s. In fact, the frames called “eyebrow”, that are now in fashion, my dad wore from the forties till his death in ‘65

When the Russian comedian was told the bathrooms were in the same building he responded with "What a Country...........interesting as a few years later Russion comedian Yakov Smirnoff came to the US and his catch phrase was "What a Country". He would say that after making a comedic observation about the US much as this guy did. He was even briefly in a sitcom of the same name. Hmmm..........coincidence or did Yakov develop his catch phrase after watching this show?

Has anyone else noticed the way they sing " she's tinsel on a tree" all ran together like that almost sounds like a big word you cant make out? I hear it every time. Its weird. Im weird i guess . Lol

At the time this episode was originally aired (1971), my great uncle Jacob was the U.S. ambassador to the Soviet Union; and a few years before that, my Mom and Dad had dinner with Marlo Thomas. Coincidence?

Missed Ann’s fresh look in the earlier seasons. Her Season 5 look doesn’t do justice to her good looks

It was now the 70s. Most of the series was in the 60s with mod but young conservative looks the sponsor wanted. You see Mission Impossible changing in 70/71 as well as Mannix. If Star Trek had made it to 1971, as promised in the prologue, it would have been retooled to longer hair on the men, board straight hair on the women, pants suits and beige sets.
