I'm not one to generally comment on videos but gosh I feel so sorry for Edna. No one had not one nice thing to say about her and words they used to describe her were just horrible. She was a victim. She didn't deserve to be murdered just because she lived an unstable lifestyle. You never know what someone has been though/what mental illnesses they're battling. I hope she is at peace and that one day her murder gets solved one day.

This is a perfect example of double standards. If a man was moving from one relationship to another, living with MULTIPLE women, having sex with MULTIPLE women at the same time and leaving his child with total strangers, disappearing for MONTHS without telling anyone where he was, drinking heavily and hanging out at bars all time of the day and night, I guarantee you, you wouldn't be so sympathetic, you would be calling him every name in the book.

I bet if they used genetic genealogy on the three semen samples today they could figure out the men she was with and likely with other investigation determine who killed her. But they don't want to do that because of how she lived. They wanted to railroad a man with a parenting style they didn't agree with and after he fought his way to a new trial and was exonerated, they had no interest in actually finding her killer. Ruby made them look bad and they can't handle it. To find the real killer would mean they were wrong all along.

This was a very poor investigation compared to many others on the show. Why didn't anyone investigate people who may have seen Edna on Saturday. No luminal test in Rudy's house, garage or car? Tire tracks or footprints at the corpse scene? I've seen some LEOs go to extraordinary means, tracing all kinds of minuscule fibers, tracing items (the box) to a store or factory, canvassing towns to find witnesses of a possible passing car, any and all evidence to find a killer. The big evidence here was a cardboard box with a hole in it that could have come from millions of cars, a bug expert that was way off on the time and an autopsy that was off on the living sperm timeframes. Everything else was very circumstantial. A thump in the night? I certainly couldn't convict on that. And was the boy evaluated to see if he was being abused and wanted to be homed with another family.

For real. That was some extremely sloppy work when it came to this case. I'm surprised they even picked this one to highlight although it's certainly important to learn from people's mistakes. And because of the sloppy work they apparently had to close the case despite not knowing who was responsible. It certainly makes you appreciate the detectives that do go the extra mile that much more.

@Alexandra Nakelski men aren’t called tramps bc of biology. Men are wired to spread their seed and women are wired for monogamy. It takes 9 months to carry a baby but a man can get multiple women pregnant within 9 months. That’s just nature. If a woman has multiple partners it doesn’t line up with nature since only one of them can get her pregnant. If she’s doing it for pleasure then yes it’s “questionable” in her character. Men and women ARE different whether you want to accept it or not. It’s nature’s design not a double standard

The son's testimony at the 2nd trial was rather odd. At 13 years old he made a specific point of testifying that he heard a "thump in the night which sounded like someone falling out of bed" and then at age 21 he had NO recollection of saying that. If this had been a 75 year old who said that I could understand that 8 years later his memory might be lousy, but not a 13 year old, especially when your testimony was crucial to convicting the person who was charged with murdering your mother.

Only way to find the killer would be to find the bars she was last seen and also question the ex husband she was with, in order to find the killer they must explorer deeper, most killers will leave prints or they will be the person she was last seen with. Most bartenders will see who these people she was included with, in other words if she left with 3 men in a bar then the bartender will show what the 3 men looked like and what car they drove before the killing accured.

The 3 men who slept with Edna had no motive to kill and dismember the poor woman. Ruby did. He wanted to keep Randy before Edna could take him away. According to the narrator, Ruby had an unhealthy interest in Randy. I pray that one day somebody will come across the rest of her body parts and this case reopens before Ruby dies (if he's not by now).

"...she was generally perceived to be a tramp." This was the district attorney speaking, not "the policeman." Also, this is a factual statement based on the background of the victim, witness statements, and other case information. He was actually being polite by not referring to her as the whore she was. It could also be that Edna was gang raped by these 3 men. She was at the bar and drinking was involved. Alcohol makes it harder for a victim to fight back and if enough alcohol is within the body to have a person be drunk or completely drunk is not able to do much damage to fight back compared to when a person is sober. Which is why any man or any woman who goes after a drunk person to have sex with the person is taking advantage of the person. The reason being a drunk person is not able to properly give consent to sex compared to if the individual is sober and giving consent to sex.

Edna Posey lived a reckless life going to bars, drinking alcohol and picking up loser men. Who this woman thought she was going to find in bars? Huh? Drunks? Losers, killers??? Edna was in my opinion, a very irresponsible woman and mother who rather than going to bars and meeting men, should have concentrated on raising her son who didn’t ask to be born! Her son should have been her sole responsibility and priority but she failed to do so. She created all her problems and never did anything to correct her behavior and lived “la vida loca” which costed her life. My heart goes out to her poor son who was the real victim in this case. I hope he grew up to be a well-adjusted young man and a law abiding citizen. Always the children pay a heavy price for the sins of the parents. Very sad. And as far as Ruby goes, to me, he is a pedophile who is free walking the streets putting other children in danger.

First of all I think it’s disrespectful and insane to call that man a pedo. Though I think it unusual, its not unusual for a father to kiss his son on the lips. Its a sign of affection and obviously he really loved kids. Now, I do believe boundaries should be made, but I also believe he was extremely excited to have a son. I hate how we don’t get a perspective from his wife, or his close friends. I don’t believe he molested anyone and I don’t believe he killed edna. Checking for fleas is a completely valid excuse to be checking a little one if they’re often camping. If the boy says he was molested now that he’s 21, then Ill believe it. If not, people are sick to paint that picture of him just because they thought he was unusual.

This is so sad and tragic. In the sense that, the way you live can truly determine your path to life or death. When they surmised that there was semen from 3 different individuals within the 24 hours that she died…. Whew …. She left and went away to get her life on track but came back and still behaved in a way that was harmful to both herself and her son. Smh. Poor Randy man. Living with a man suspected of pedophilia and his mom with the way she was. Lord have mercy.

Maybe she was raped by 3 men when she was murdered… don’t be so quick to assume or judge , just because someone might be struggling in life does not mean they deserve to be killed or held in any less regard than any other person … she was a human being, a daughter, a mother and she was trying to turn things around … you have no idea how easily your life can go off the rails and if it never happens to you then be grateful for your good fortune in life … but don’t look down on others ,that certainly doesn’t put you in any better position no matter where you are in life
