Using the upside down as a time travel method is actually low-key genius because the upside down is still stuck in November of 1983. So maybe they can rewind back to the time is season 1 for an episode or two which would explain the motion capture Will

That's exactly what I've been saying! There's a reason it's frozen on the day Will went missing, and they mentioned it in S4! Also, Eddie hinting in that interview, " I know, but I'm not going to tell you." ! Maybe a way to reset time and Will never gets taken that means everyone, including Barb, Bob, and others, could, in a way, come back.

I thoroughly believe that we will see a dragon in this season. If you look back at every season you catch a glimpse of a dragon. Even at the end of season 1 the foe that they face in d&d it's one of the dragons and will defeats it.

@zavrynah true, but we did get vecna. I think it will be like a demi dragon like monster but definitely a dragon thing. The Duffers have always put hints in each season, like the clocks. At the last episode of each season there is a clock in the background getting closer to midnight. In season 3 there is a clock at the mall in the background that reads 11:57 as soon as they defeat the meat mindflare. season 4 we get all the clocks that creeps to midnight (doomsday). And we see the upside down open up into the real world. We also get Nancy see a vision of a big monster that comes through. I might be reading too much into it 😅 but that's my theory lol

The only logical answer I can imagine about why is the upside down frozen in Will's dissapearence date is time travel, but not in the way you think. Ok the question is, why is frozen in that date if the first time the portal was open was with El and Henry, well I think the answer is that Henry was the first one in our point of view (our world/dimension). I mean, a portal doesn't even involve space, but also time alteration, so maybe, in the upside down's point of view, Will came first to that dimension and somehow somdthing created a mirror of our world. If I am a genius and that's right, then when Henry met the Mind F. he've already met Will, and (don't know how but) that might be importat to the resolution of the show.

I saw “The First Shadow”, there was 1 new character introduced. If that character is in the show season 5, it will collapse the idea and set-up of the Upside-Down during the first two seasons. I don’t think they are willing to backtrack on their own script to that level- it would destroy the show.

I am pretty sure Jonathan is going to sacrifise himself for Will! Remember how they introduced Jonathan into the show? His very first scene was about Will. So i think his very last scene is also about will! Full circle. Being a good big brother for Will was always his best trait and the core aspect of his character. So it only makes sense if Jonathan is going to die for the person he cares the most. His priority was always Will.

Speaking about full circle, i also think that Steve ends up with Nancy. Remember how he was introduced into the show? His very first scene was with Nancy, when they kissed in the bathroom. So i think since his story started with Nancy, it is also going to end with Nancy. It only makes sence for his character arc, since Nancy was the one who inspired him to become a better man. "Thank you for the biggest thumb 2 years ago, i needed it." And since she was the one why he started being the "babysitter" back then. "You promised Nance to keep us save."

I managed to get tickets for the play this December. It does explain alot of dimension X and why Henry's blood had changed due to his time there. And i think it'll apply to will in season 5. I hope the play becomes accessible on netflix at least so others who can't make the play can see it. I think the play will explain important questions so we all gotta see it✨️
