It was also airing simultaneously with a season of Big Brother which made it have a weird atmosphere because obviously it wouldn't happen in real life, but Davina McCall(the lady getting chomped at 2:13 who was the actual host of the show at the time) kept making jokes and it added a weirdly creepy vibe over the live eviction that week. 10/10 marketing for it lmao

The limb amputation thing isn't likely to prevent zombification. It takes less than 2 minutes for blood to circulate. Sooner if epinephrine is pumping through the body, closer to 45 seconds to be exact. So if you're bit, unless instantaneous amputation occurs (damn near impossible) you're fucked. A suggestion to prevent getting bit: use leather, and basic armor made of books, magazines, and ideally PVC if on hand. Easy to do, and rather effective.

This was a fun show to think about. It was really hard to wonder where they coulda went right. The weakness of the people amongst their group destroyed the safety of their multi layer defense.
