Wow! This was great! It’s so functional. I’ve decided I’m tired of archiving hobonichi weeks planners- so I bought a Holborn. I’ve used ring planners as a journal, but I’m a little lost setting one up to be an on the go planner. I have been setting it up like my weeks because that’s what has worked for years. But I really like your project sections and brain dump section etc. You’ve given me so many ideas- I can’t wait to double back through your older videos. Thank you.

Thank you! I have seen those struggles with many hobonichi planners. If I were using a hobonichi bound planner I would carry one of the blank hobonichi booklets for any info I know I would need for future year planners so I can just have that little booklet to transfer year after year instead of keeping the entire hobonichi weeks planner. OR I would have the hobonichi and do what I do now and process the info from the hobonichi I knew I would need to know x amount of years from now (such as house or car repairs) and have a three ring binder that has running lists of those dates and info that I need archived so that way I can recycle the hobonichi without worrying about critical info being lost. Bound books don’t work for me because I like to take things out when I’m done, move things around, or add things in without worrying about damaging my book. I do enjoy watching hobonichi videos though and have been tempted to try them, but know they probably wouldn’t work in the long run for me. I hope the rings works for you! And if not, hey at least you tried. Your system should work for you and not against you. Always fun to experiment. It took me quite awhile to nail down my current system. Good luck in your planning!

I found you a while ago, and I have to say I love your videos. This is what planning and such is to me. I love Bullet Journals and such, but I don't have time for all that.
@plannerbeat4 ай бұрын
Thank you! And the decorative bullet journals that are popular on KZbin don’t work for me either. But some of the elements of the original style of bullet journaling like migrating symbols for notes I do sometimes use in my planning. Though I think I have been doing that before I discovered what bullet journaling was. I do enjoy decorating my project planners like my Halloween and Christmas books, but the decor doesn’t take away from the actual meat of my planning. The decor makes me want to plan and play in these books, and maybe that’s the same for the decor folk in the planning and bullet journal community. But when it comes to get to work buckle down planning it’s all about the basics for me. Thanks for commenting!

@@suzee_ thank you! I actually haven’t created my year book yet. Hopefully I will get to it next year. I’m looking at most likely a big happy planner or a regular 3 ring binder. For my archiving I have a mix of 3 ring binders and pronged folders which I might show in a future video.

this was so helpful. thank you! you don't do any digital downloads in your planners, correct? they're mainly/all pre printed, cut and punched?

@@erikaramirez6558 hi there! This year the week on 2 pages was preprinted and punched from Filofax and the daily’s were Franklin covey. In this video I do have a quarterly planning sheet that is a printable from haroo plans on Etsy for this channel. 2025 I will be using a printables in my personal rings since I don’t like the 2025 offerings from Filofax with the reminder app. Thanks for watching!

@@karinalebedeva7335 it’s a unicorn planner for sure! I really want the zipped version! I have the black and brown zipped holborns in personal size, just missing the wine in zipped.
@karinalebedeva733512 күн бұрын
@ I have it in brown (pocket and personal) and, I have to say, the leather quality differs a lot. I heard that wine leather is super soft. Somehow not a fan of zip planners (usually are bigger than their normal version). So I am on a hunt for personal compact Holborn ☺️ Have you tried any of the recent Holborn leathers? Are they any good?
@plannerbeat12 күн бұрын
@@karinalebedeva7335 that’s awesome. I haven’t tried any of the new ones. If I do I’d probably get a blue one. I have a grey personal holborn and it seems that it has a more of a squishy leather when compared to my wine. Good luck on the hunt!
