Thanks again for all your videos. They are a lot of help. What type of brush do you use for agitation? Also do you use different types of brushes for different types of fabric?

I recently picked up a 2 gallon Husavarna pump sprayer from Lowe’s and it’s by far the best pump up style sprayer I’ve used

Do you typically skip dwell time when doing upholstery? Do you do dry passes with the mytee after the initial rinse passes?
@greenrhinoproject
@greenrhinoproject Жыл бұрын
Every cleaning solution is different for 12 time. The product I use it is not necessary. these mytee upholstery tools also like the sapphire scientific make it so you don’t have to do dry passes typically

Is there a big difference between upholstery vs carpet solutions?
@greenrhinoproject
@greenrhinoproject 4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no, some pre sprays are safe enough for both but in general using a upholstery and fine fabric prespray it generally has neutral ph. I use carpet details 99% of time. If you are cleaning a wool or natural fiber couch make sure pre spray is wool safe.
@laurasomebody

@@greenrhinoproject Ok, so what you're saying is carpet solutions are usually alkaline (above pH 7 due to hydroxide use), but upholstery solutions are (probably mostly surfactants) near pH 7? So, since the final product should be neutral, there's less residual to extract if you use a neutral solution? But, because of chemistry, carpet solution works better and just needs a rinse? Am I understanding correctly?

@@greenrhinoproject I've read slightly acidic solutions are preferable for use on wool... Is that right? (Sorry my question is so specific... I'm a chemist trying to figure out the science of fabric cleaning 🤷😂)
@greenrhinoproject
@greenrhinoproject 4 жыл бұрын
@@laurasomebody used to be lower pH like four is safe on wool but nowadays it's more like 8. PH but make sure that has the wool safe logo or stamp on it if not I wouldn't trust it for wool.
