In this video I got the Filtreau drum filter lines connected and also have a quick look at the Filtreau Moving bed filter. Also a look at the 3 pond returns.

Looking good, the feed for the spray bar pump should be on the clean side of the drum, not the dirty side other wise you are going to be pumping dirty water though you spray bar nozzles and they will block up with the dirty water quickly .

Yes that was an after thought I had after I'd drilled the hole and fitted the tank connector lol. Ah well I can put in another and use the other one as a drain point. Thanks for stopping by, it means a lot👍

Ditto that thought. Had one of those drums running, pump fed, for three years now, never missed a beat 🙌 Good to see a new koi channel up, but you're going a bit fast, slow down and tease us a bit 😁

Use the tank connector as a over flow to waste 👍 so it was worth doing

Hi, after running the Filtreau for just under a year what are your thoughts on it if you don't mind me asking. I am considering one of these or the entry model Aquaforte. Have been offered a 2nd hand Aquaforte for £450 but always dubious of when someone has a pond but is running a multibay and tells you there was no room for the drum which is surprisingly tiny

Heard good things about those Filtreau drums, supposed to be really good and value for money so will be interested to see how you find it👍. Shame about the quality of the moving bed but I’m sure it will serve you well once it’s up and running. 🐟👍. I was going to tile mine but ended up rendering it and used Brazilian slate capping. Yeah for what they cost compared to other drums, I think it's real value for money, but the build quality between the drum and the moving bed is miles apart. I suppose it will serve it's purpose but would have been nice to see the same build standard as the drum. I'd thought about render too, tiles also for that matter. For the time being I'll leave it painted, it doesn't look bad at all tbh and then may do something with it in the future, plus the Mrs wants a seating area building in front of the pond 😬 And I watch your content very regularly, top stuff and I love your setup. Look forward to seeing your grow on's develop 👍 Would you mind me asking how you came across my channel?

I have a drum same as yours and it’s second hand don’t know how to private message you or owt my pond is ground level so will need to dig a hole to have a bottom drain
