Theres a allen key inside the plastic fittings you can tighten and loosen to create a better seal.

I just bought this sprayer today. The handgun sprayer fitting that you mentioned always leaks is leaking for me profusely right out of the box and it is the plastic junction that came from the factory like that. I love the idea of this product and will try to find a remedy or take it back.

I'm looking to buy a sprayer at the moment. Thanks for sharing the deficiencies of that unit.

Put a hose clamp on the leaking hose and carry on. Maintenance is key as well. Use the tank cleaner and clean your screen regularly. No different than any other equipment that uses screens or filter. I’ve had Fimco sprayers for over 15 years with no issues. Also, leaving things outside, especially plastics is just asking for trouble. Carry on.

Thanks for your review...was thinking about getting the Fimco 15 gallon ATV sprayer but have decided to continue to use my pull behind sprayer. Which I might add does not leak anywhere and is over 15 years old.

I have had this exact sprayer for about 6 years and hate it (2015). They have had several updates since then and they don't work either. They did send me a new cable with switch 4 different times, They told me the wires in the old style was too thin and the last one they sent me was a lot thicker with a better switch. They sent me several Pumps inside the warranty period but I have purchased several since including there new design pump witch is not any better. They had to replace it right after they sent it. Came in not working at all. I continually have the same leaks that you are having and have replaced the valves with brass so they wouldn't crack when I tighten them. Solved the cracking problem but it still leaks all the time. There is no telling how many hours I waste trying to get this thing working along with the many gallons of chemical I have lost because of one/two of the spray heads stop spraying during application. This unit is exactly what you have described. A big POS! Thanks for making a video on this.

I'm still using my old 25 gallon with 1 nozzle that sprays only 13 feet, never a problem but got to watch the wind, also have to fill it often.

This system works great with a three point 60 gallon sprayer on a tractor, which of course uses a pto pump setup.at about 10 pounds of pressure..will do close to 7 acres at approximately 3.5 miles an hour.

I got the same sprayer. With upgraded pump. I cut the alligator clips off and went to Walmart got the 12 volt outlet pig tail for $3. Only problem is the fuse that comes with it will blow. I bought after market glass fuse for it and good to go. I love my sprayer.

I'm in the market to upgrade now & my cart came out to over $400. You make me want to build my own but sadly the HP 100 PSI pump costs almost as much as getting a 15 or 25 gallon tank included. I wanted to toss my backpack & upgrade to a 100 or 300ft hose.

Great video Jack. Iv seen people use those sprayers before and they sell them at our local home and garden store. Iv always wondered how good they worked. You would think for 400 plus dollars it would be nice but i guess not. Wow your weather looks great. Hope you hand yours have a great day.

I sprayed this week with my 20 year old tow behind sprayer and it worked great. If I need to upgrade I'll consider a 3 point mounted sprayer for my tractor. Maybe fabricate one from parts I know will work.

Hi Ham Homestead I might be able to make one of your comments on that sprayer gowaway what if you lower the spray bar on the back of your 4weeler so the wind doesn't blow all over everything I hope this helps you a little.

I think they redesigned the unit since this video. I bought one and the pump is now on the side and all hoses are clamped down with barbed connections. Maybe your review spaked some changes.

Man I’m GLAD I didn’t bite on the Fimco at Tractor Supply for 500$, yes , $500😮!. Ordered a North Star , hopefully it’s better

Ok, that leak at the end nozzles is because your ring wasn’t slid over the pipe. You’re trying to push it down at the end of the pipe instead of sliding it over and slightly down the pipe. If you slide it over the pipe, you’ll find it seals properly if you haven’t damaged your oring

I have a sprayer that isn’t a boom sprayer, just a wand sprayer. I bought it many years ago from Northern Tools, it is now due for a pump rebuild if I can find a kit to rebuild it with. But now someone stole my ATV I guess I’ll need to mount it on my golf cart.
@TheZX114 жыл бұрын
You just need new and fresh washers to stop the leaks on the hose fittings. Force the water through the barbs.. Actual O-ring shaped hose washers worked well for ours. Last years washers leaked like crazy no mater what we did until we replaced them with new.

Wish I’d seen this before buying the 45 gal product. I put water in it today so I could figure out how it works. The motor hums but no water appears. I really don’t need this grief in my life at this time.

Wow how frustrating, what a pile of garbage. Everything is junk now days yet they want top dollar for it. I spent the money and put a regular shur-flow RV type pump on my spraying setup and they seem to work good. I think a guy is better off using fimco’s idea but building the manifold etc out of pvc sprinkler system parts! I felt for you watching this video. It’s even more frustrating when you’re drenched in nasty round-up or 2-4D on a hot summer day! Good luck Pardner!

My older fimco was pretty good. This thing just keeps dying on me.. This summer it took a new pressure switch, replaced 4 O rings and had to replace one of the hoses as well.. I like it WHEN it works...

@@HamHomestead WOW sorry to hear your having trouble with it. Same with my older one. Why i got a new one coming. As much wear and tear on it. rather than buying a new pump! i can get the whole thing for the price of a new pump> then i use the old 25 gal. tank! for fuel storage for my riding lawn mowers

Yo to the yo muh hommie.... i totally hear you pulling your hair out by the roots. i got my mother F- cking sprayer a year ago and I'm still struggling. once i replaced everything but the tank i was finely able to get liquid to spray out of the wand. the boom was a waste of 300 dollars because it was made so incredibly cheap, just one light breeze and it will snap right off so i made my own boom out of wood, in my barn on my table saw. i'm disappointed but after 35 trips to town and 3 trips to the other town i've finely got it running (farm style)

Truth my friend. These suck. Always leak, cheap fittings that always snap off.
@briandavis84804 жыл бұрын
Hey, watching your video, I can help you with at least one major thing. You have the tank turned around the wrong way. That pump and manifold are meant to be at the back of your four wheeler. Also, if you have issues with these sprayers, you can call Fimco or you can call Ag Spray, which is Fimco’s sister company. As far as the boomless end nozzles, yes they are expensive, but they are not just a flimsy plastic, they are designed to distribute the spray evenly across the spray area. I have an older setup, and I used to sell these spray parts for these. When you purchase a new end nozzle it is the entire replacement of yellow and black plastic, along with a new sealing o-ring. Talk to those guys at Ag Spray, they will understand you and have solutions. Good luck.
