Good day, I would like to know if you encounter battery problems during mid-flight? I saw some videos on YT where the fimi crashed during mid-flight due to bad battery. I am looking forward to buy Fimi Mini 3, but I am hesitant due to the battery issue during flight.

@@CardsMoto I have not experienced that yet. I have got warnings to reset a battery. I suspect most issues are user related in their charging routines of LiPo batteries.

Mine is a slightly different color, but thats the same case I bought for my fimi mini v1 and am now using for my v2. I agree completely with your rant. Ill keep flying my V2 and trying different color settings, but when it dies (probably soon) i dont think Ill be getting another Fimi. 3 days later, still havent heard back about my gimbal or video transmission issues. I dont want to spend DJI money (nor do I want NFZ trouble), do you have another recommendation? Thanks again for all the work you put in on this brand!

I would wait for the New Potensic to come out. I know some would recommend going out and getting the Atom today.. but I think the "Old" CMOS camera and some weird interference issues have to be addressed first. My money is being saved for the next version Potensic.. You also notice that "Hubsan" have gone very silent of late??

@@GorillamansGarage I had noticed nothing new coming from Hubsan, too bad there... Im not familiar with Potensic, but not thrilled about them also using a proprietary cable. Ive had problems with the factory Fimi cables twice now.

@@GorillamansGarage It would have been nice for sure! I managed to find a 4 inch USBc extension cable that I use for my tablet now, it works, but the tablet isnt good enough to do screen capture and run the Fimi Navi. Galaxy A7 lite.

Funny thing (annoying) is.. Fi9mi thinks that's normal. We suspect they have someone colour blind doing the programming.

I found a few videos... seems no better .. no worse.. but we have to remember the price point! At $499.. there is nothing else in that range.. you have to double that to get into a DJI Air3.

You can update over several updates past. It simply checks by date and overwrites. I don't see any real advantage in this huge "unknown" update.

Fimi seems to ignore its paying customers totally. My Mini v2 has a problem of disconnecting after 20 seconds each time -- having about 2 hours of flight time in it. Their advice is cleaning the USB socket... Warranty: 80 days. :(

I get that.. There is no warranty.. unless youwant to pay 1/2 its value to ship it back. It's a Lottery which most are not willing to pay. There are a few alternatives instead of buying from places like Fimi or AliExpress ( 🇨🇦 ) .. but you pay a little more for the piece of mind of customer service and being able to do an easy return.

It’s probably a problem with the USB cable (connection between transmitter and your phone/screen. If you are using a usb c product then try a lightning product like old iPhone and see if you still have the same problem. PS. My new fimi mini 3 had same problem with USB C connection except I got no connection with new Android phone or iPad mini and intermittent connection with phone. Meanwhile using the lightning cable with iPhone SE 2022 worked everytime. I opened a dispute and provided video of problem. Fimi is sending me 2 new usb c cables. I hope they work.

@@gimpman1357 Thanks! I'll try another USB-C cable. But why I have doubts about it is that the connection always breaks after 20 seconds which would be strange from a cable error. The iPhone would be worth to try but none of my friends have an iPhone.

Hi,large update yesterday, virtually unusable now, recording in 2.7k 60fps, when rotating every 3-4 seconds video shimers/judders. Any thoughts, not on phone on sd card.

Be sure the sd card is in exFAT and is a U3 or above. Also that you have more than 15GB free space on the card.

@@GorillamansGarage sorry, I just keep taking the updates, another big one 90 minutes ago, just retried it, works fine in all 1080 frames, works up to 50fps in 2.7k, jittery at 2.7k 60. Never had a fimi before, seems like an update every other day.

Do you have the 1004A camera firmware and FC firmware, where can I download it for rollback?

1004A is on the Fimi download site. Simply copy it to an empty sd card.. put it in.. start the drone.. let it do its thing and listen for beeps. I've simply turned it on and waited 5 minutes then turned it off (don't forget to remove the card then). Then put in my regular sd card and connected to the RC etc..

@@GorillamansGarage I did so, the drone blinked frequently for about 5 minutes, and rebooted the drone when it stopped blinking, but the firmware version did not roll back to 1004A

If I were someone getting a first video drone... I would 100% go DJI. The ones that like to tinker with the unknown would venture towards things like a Fimi.

I don't think it did anything really.. but because of all the changes Fimi suggests it addressed.. I'd be worried down the road what else it might do. Time will tell and that is basically why I stick around.. Tylenol and all.🤣

I've had no problems with my potensic atom. I've had more problems with my expensive DJI FPV. So your point isn't true. You can have problems with any company it's how they treat their customers.
