Thanks for testing out the orbit mode, which seemed to work fine on your drone. And I will test out orbit with the travel drone as soon I'm back on my feet again. And its surprising how much the Fimi Mini 3 wanders around in hover mode, especially when older budget drones like the Hubsan do much better. Especially considering the Hubsan drop from the old days. Good test of the new update, not a whole lot to see, unless it improved the night mode. Thanks for sharing.

There is an update for the FC which 1004F which stated that Gimbal will return to center upon landing, drone heading will return to takeoff heading during landing (maybe at RTH) and optimized flight control whatever that means

@@siredwarddimaguila yea.. the real important stuff. The App is fundamentally flawed. The GUI is in need of attention. Can you say Attitude Ball?.. So many other things to look at.. I see they have 4 new drones coming out.. the FM3 may be soon an afterthought. Just sayin.. 👍🤣🦍

As soon as you even start to fly the HZMSE you notice how much smoother it is.. The Fimi are not a close quarters flyer.

Hi ,mine is broken, impossible to pair it with the radio, after the update, the drone disconnected from the radio and simply crashed, fortunately it is not broken, but no more connection I am currently discussing with after-sales service

Very similar story here with my Fimi X8 Mini v2. But now I could figure it out that the connection is cut by the software after 20 secs because it doesn't see the camera / camera FW. Now Fimi (Amy Chen) has sent me a new set of firmware but I cannot update it. I unzip it, copy it to the root of the SD card (with or without the folder), turn the drone on -- and nothing happens. It is supposed to flash green-red during the update but it simply flashes slowly yellow. How can I force it make the update?

@@jfr900 First I thought the connection between the drone and the RC was broken. But indeed they are connected. With Android the connection is cut after 20 secs, with iPhone the connection is stationary. This means I can control the drone, I can calibrate the gimbal, the compass, I can change the settings, I can even fly -- but with no camera view. (XL600V :) )

@@csabamagyar3244 : It needs the folder name.. just copy everything to the sd card. B sure its the only thing oon the card and don't leave the card in when you are done. ** Lucky you got any reply.. she has Flagged me and will not answer any of the (now) 21 requests for support.

Flight controls are good and in fact the drone flies real well BUT the yaw is too fast in CINE mode. Unlike DJI no easy way to adjust except playing around with EXPO. PS. FPV range is crap even with ParaYugiAdi signal booster.

I have been taken in by cheap look-a-like sd cards in the past. So I only buy from Amazon. I use Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB and format on the PC in exFAT (The Fimi Mini 3 uses exFAT now). I also test all my sd cards before use to make sure they are not fake (I use a program called "Validrive" freeware)

Hi GM, I think the wander with the Fimi Mini 3 at low altitudes is the downside sensors looking at grass that is almost the same wherever the drone is located, nothing on the ground to differentiate. Idaho is a tough place to fly with 2nd and 3rd tier drones. The new Fimi X8 Tele simply looks like the X8 SE 2022 V2 with two cameras. The Tele supplies the same battery as the X8 SE 20xx., not the higher power X8 Pro battery. At some time Fimi will offer the X8 Tele Pro that will use the X8 Pro drone with two cameras and the same higher capacity battery of the X8 Pro.

Grass is one of the easiest to lock in to. I own $20 quadcopters with optical flow position hold that lock in better than this Fimi.

Why do you keep the drone in metric mode rather than switching it to imperial or US mode for all the height and distant measurements?

Because I am In Canada and 98% of the world is on Metric.. meaning the USA is about the Only country that uses Imperial. I grew up with Imperial (Britain/Canada).. but changing over was quite simple.. It is a lot easier and more accurate once you get the jist of it.
