Excellent. Loved that last question, most impactful moments watching for the first time. I wanted to share a few of mine: First, one of my very first theater experiences was Return of the Jedi in 1983. I will never forget the moment Wedge and Lando swooped in, rotated their ships, and dive into the access shaft of the Death Star during the final space battle. Something about the speed and camera movement and the physics of that shot just blew my little kid mind. The next was in The Last Jedi. I agree with Eric about the highs and lows of that movie, but man, when Holdo sends her ship accelerating to light speed into the First Order dreadnaught, in the theater when the sound cut out, in 3D, that was absolutely stunning. And finally, in the final season of Clone Wars, when Rex receives the Order 66 transmission and then hesitate when he turns on Ahsoka, and then she has to deflect all the clones firing at once and escape, that had me trembling the first time, and honestly gets me on every rewatch. Enjoy the break, looking forward to the rest of Skeleton Crew and Outlaws.

Star Wars is weird in that my whole childhood my favourite character was JarJar just because it was the first action figure exposed to me 😅

As a fan of both _STAR TREK_ and Star Wars, I never knew of any serious competition. It's like comparing apples and penguins.

Apples and penguins?! That's very odd analogy

They are both major science fiction and action adventure franchise with iconic characters that are frequently referenced in pop culture. They both had film series that began in the 1970s but continued into the 80s, of which the second is often considered the best. They both had rebooted trilogy, released primarily in the 2010s in which J.J. Abrams directed the first film. Both have titles that start with "star" and end with a one syllable word, which are often presented in yellow text on a black background. And currently both primarily exist in the form of short high profile series produced for their respective company's streaming services.

Man I love blindwave, what I’ve learned from them from endlessly benchwatching there reactions is to not take this so serious and just enjoy it or don’t who cares

I understand Aaron’s idea of “waiting to see the full story before you judge something”. But at the same time I think the beginning of a story should still be good. A story shouldn’t be “this sucks this suck this sucks and then all of a sudden it’s good.” Although I do agree that if you see something and don’t know the explanation you shouldn’t automatically jump to “this is terrible” like the Ventress thing.

tbh i thought the ending of barriss's story in ToTE was pretty powerful
@rvds204012 күн бұрын
yeah but kinda vague, also barriss wasnt the biggest clone wars character so maybe unearned depending on who you ask
@rhaenatargaryen806112 күн бұрын
@@rvds2040 morgan wasnt the biggest character either. And tbh after waiting so many years and watching so many people get creative with fan works about where barriss's journey took her its nice to get an answer, even if it was very brief. as a character the themes she tapped into could have easily carried a longer story. not a multi season story but a longer one.

I was wondering if its possible for the Eric and Aaron to go through the list of Star Wars reference in My Hero Academia just to simple merge the two things.

I liked Canto Bight, I just feel like it belonged in a different movie

I prefer the Palpatine vs Windu fight to Dooku vs Anakin in EP. II. That fight is simply a close-up of faces and a flicker of lasers in the background with a few shots of the fight that are by no means impressive.

Re: the sequel trilogy i think its always gonna be haunted by the circumstances of its creation. I wish it had been 3 films from a single vision, it was particularly upsetting to find out that finn was originally going to be killed off in TLJ, then stay in a coma the whole film, before his canto arc was conceived of. I cant help but trust john boyegas perspective that fan backlash made people hesitant to commit to making his character a larger part of the story and it gives the trilogy an awkward feel to me personally.

When do we get aftermath and shadows of the sith? So excited to hear them talk about it👍🏻

I NEED a clone wars style show for the OT. Hell do it for the sequels too. I don’t care that some people didn’t like those movies. People didn’t like the prequels, but they loved clone wars.

Are you kidding? Aaron, in 1995 pretty sure we had Dark Forces and Rebel Assault 2! And I think there was a TIE Fighter game. Plus on the heels of the Heir to the Empire trilogy that wrapped up the year before we had like 10 books. If you're going for a real dry spell try like 1990, right before we finally got the first of the Timothy Zahn books, and the first real Star Wars media since basically The Battle for Endor aired on TV.
@LXV-e9d11 күн бұрын
I’m pretty sure he said 1955 unless I completely misheard. Because yeah obviously we didn’t have much Star Wars in 1955. It didn’t exist yet.

The only bad blood of this year for Star Wars was The Acolyte series doesn't matter if you liked it not there was so much bad energy from the minute the director spoke, even if you were not a huge Star Wars fan the things that were being said from the director and some actors was ridiculous in actual reality circumstances and concerning and outspoken. The rest was good or very surprisingly fantastic so let's move on people 👍😉
